I'll bet yours is sitting in either CA or PA. Those are two popular spots. Mine only changed to shipped yesterday and I ordered at 1pm when the site was still stuttering and getting pwned.

Same boat here, my friend. I think Indianapolis and Louisville are FedEx distribution centers, and I'm fairly close to those. Not sure if mine is coming UPS or FedEx, but mine still says Preparing for Shipment and that it will deliver on Friday.

This one seems different. The iPad 1, I *think* everyone showed an origin scan in China, mostly because of how the pre-orders shipped with the delayed launch. Because of how UPS handled the shipments, the web sites weren't updated with updated shipping info. I remember UPS working real hard on Twitter helping out people whose iPads showed as still being in Asia.

This one, my 64gb White Verizon shows an origin of PA and hasn't budged from there yet. I think the rumors are true that Apple has been shipping these puppies in for several months and staging them.

Come on Fedex...get it together!!

I had two ipads shipped out Sunday afternoon and was giving tracking numbers for both. One of them has tracked fine since monday morning (sitting in nashville with a bunch of others) and the other tracking number has no record at all. Is there anyone else on here who has received a tracking number but cannot get it to work? They were both shipped Fedex by the way.

Side note: My navy blue smart cover arrived to the Fedex facility that is 40 minutes from my house this morning. It never showed up though. So a few minutes ago I decided to go and check the tracking number on it to see what happened. It is in Wichita, KS and I am in South Carolina!!! I called Fedex and they said that it was accidentally put on the wrong truck but it should be here by Thursday. I would be extremely pissed off but I won't have the iPad until Friday anyway so no big deal. Although, I am a little uneasy now that they might put my iPad on the wrong truck...:(
 
My first iPad

Ordered a Black 64gb 4G Verizon. FedEx delivery by 3pm March 16th.

Did you all know you can have the package(new iPad) held for you at a FedEx office or better yet a World Service Center. They said I could pick it up at my closest World Service Center which opens at 9am on Friday!! Good thing it's 2 miles from my house. I am so there! This could be the fastest way to get "the precious" in my hands!

Update!! Now shows In Transit on FedEx site!!!

I'm curious at this point when mine will leave Nashville and start making it's way towards Texas. I would guess that tomorrow it will begin to move again.
 
I'm in the preparing for shipment camp now. Was processing for about 6 days. This is a 64 GB ATT Black going to Long Island NY.

This is my problem too and I am starting to get a little worried about it.
 
I ordered a Wifi model that deliver on friday, but i regret. I will go to the Apple store to exchange a Verizon one. Hope they have some left.

Mine is coming to SC.

I just got off the phone with Fedex. A guy there talked to his supervisor and said that they have strict orders from apple to not deliver the iPads until Friday the 16th. Some iPads were scanned and others like ours are just sitting in there secure facility and we should see some tracking info come Thursday from what he said. I feel better now!

Thanks dude! FedEx wouldn't give me the time of day. They blamed apple everytime i called haha.

Mine too. It just went from processing to Preparing for shipment. It is scheduled to arrive on March 16. It appears that the Apple TV's are already in the states ready to ship out. That is why mine states overnight delivery.

Now if only my iPad (scheduled to ship by Mar 19) would come sooner. ;)
 
I pre ordered my 16gb white wifi only iPad on 3/9 at 8pm central (I'm in Oklahoma) the first time I looked at the shipping dates on the site it said ships 3/19 delivers 3/23. But when I went back to the site a few min later it was saying ships by 3/19 delivered by 3/19. I thought that was pretty odd but the aknowledgement email I received about 20 mins later said the same thing! My order has not been deducted from my bank account but according to the lady I spoke with at apple they pre authorized my account the same day I placed my order. I've been frantically checking my order and googling iPad preorder news to see if any delays have been mentioned and I can't find much mentioned about orders placed after the dates were moved to the 19th but before it was changed to 2-3 weeks. My order has been stuck at processing items since Friday!! I thought I would give one more look before I called it a night and I noticed while my status hasn't changed my delivery date HAS! It was changed from ships 3/19 delivers 3/19 (which is rather odd and I've only seen one other person say the same thing) to ships 3/19 delivers 3/21 :( So I'm wondering what's going on?!?! Anyone run across any stories relating to this??

Well I got a rather rude surprise today.

I guess Apple had charged me for 4 iPads.

I ordered 2 at the same time. The system charged for the order, and then charged again for each individual iPad at the time of shipping.

No big deal really I called once I saw the extra charges on the card and they sorted it out. I will be out about 1600 dollars for 3 to 5 days while they process the refund on the extra iPads but other than that it was easy to fix.

If you are worried about money in the bank you might want to keep an eye on your account for a few days. I'm sure I'm not the only one that might have got an extra charge or two.

I had an extra charge for one iPad. I ordered 2 total. The original hold (for 2 iPads) was placed on the 7th and the extra charge (for one iPad) was added on the 9th. The original hold fell off on the 13th and I had two separate charges for each of the iPads I ordered.

Yeah it's really no big deal. Just thought I'd post it for informations sake.

BTW these where charges not holds. One for two iPads. Thne two separate charges each for one iPad. In total I was charged 3 time for a total of 4 iPads.

Do you have an update on this?? Mine did the same thing but I just checked and the deliver date has been moved out to march 21st
