I'm really really hoping that my 64GB black Verizon iPad that I ordered within 10 minutes of the site being up with no engraving gets here Friday. I'm hoping that it's in the US, as others have mentioned, which is why mine still says "Preparing for Shipment" but still says "Delivers on March 16."

I guess I posted in frustration too soon. An hour after I posted this, I realized that BEFORE today, it had said "Processing Items." And just a half hour ago, I got the shipping notice.

Mine is shipping from Ontario, Canada (odd considering I'm in Boulder, CO, USA) with the note in FedEx saying that even though it's "Standard Overnight" shipping, it's also, "Future delivery requested" with delivery by 3PM on Friday.

Are you sure it's not Ontario, California?

It said "CA" that I kinda assumed was Canada 'cause I've been working on a poster all day for a conference next week and the second author is from Ontario, Canada. So, um ... yeah ...

Ugh, can Friday come any slower...

I really really really really want it to, but I also have SO MUCH WORK to do before I leave on Sunday for a conference that it needs to be last week. Sigh. Conflicting interests at play.

Same situation here. I'm on spring break and, on one hand, I want it to be Friday so I can get my new iPad :) but, on the other, then that means I have to go back to college in a day! First world problems right here! :p

Anyways,
Mine 'picked up' yesterday in Middletown, PA (I'm in New York) with 'Future delivery requested' for March 16th before 3:00 PM!

Still no tracking information when I plug in my number into FedEX.

Received shipped notice on sunday 3/11. Email indicates delivery on 3/16. I did call Apple and their only response was "we are committed to delivery on 3/16".

I don't know where my iPad is, (guessing it shipped within the USA) but I'm hoping Apple lives up to its promise...

Same old, same old. Still waiting on "preparing for shipment" for March 16th. Gonna call today around lunchtime to see if everything's on track.

I'm curious at this point when mine will leave Nashville and start making it's way towards Texas. I would guess that tomorrow it will begin to move again.

I'm betting it will stay in Nashville til Thursday evening. Mine is still in Nashville bound for Dallas, TX.

What school do you go to? A SUNY?

Ordered the 64GB white wifi the evening of the 7th, shipped to Atlanta GA. It was shipped via FedEx instead of UPS like a lot of other people. It arrived in Nashville, TN the morning of the 10th. China to TN in just two days, WOW!
It has been in Nashville since. Under the order detailed is states "Future delivery requested". Apples is definitely withholding any possibility of early arrival.

Lets just hope FedEx makes a mistake! When I order the iPhone 4, it arrived 2 days early so it not impossible to see some Thursday arrivals. Cant WAIT!

FINALLY changed from "Preparing for Shipment" to shipped, complete with an active FedEx tracking number. It's coming from Middletown, PA.

iPad 32 GB Black Verizon
Ordered 3/8
Estimated Delivery by 3/16 by 3 PM

Was hoping for UPS delivery; they deliver earlier in the day.

Ordered a WIFI 16GB with Personalization. Shipped on Saturday, but is still showing up as departed from Anchorage, Alaska. (Departed early hours of 11 March) Shipping through UPS.

iPad is for my mother-in-law. She's going to love it!

Nevermind.

Ordered on March 7th, 3:45PM EST. 32GB Verizon iPad, WiFi + LTE.
Shipped on March 14th, 9:40 AM EST.

Currently in Middletown, PA. ETA = Mar 16, 2012 by 3:00 PM.

AND SO THE WAIT BEGINS. :D

Arrived - Louisville, KY, United States, Sunday, 03/11/2012

mine has been sitting there since Sunday with no activity. :(

wanted it to arrive early!

mine finally went to shipped status this morning. i guess whoever said that apple waits until 48 hours before for non engraved items was correct. i received my shipping notification this morning at 7:30 am cst. my tracking number is still not working though.

Best of luck to all of you expecting yours to arrive early. Mine has been sitting in Louisville, Ky sense last Friday night with no updates on the status. I suspect that they are holding them until closer to the launch date. Sense I am in Texas and it will take a day or so to get it to my regional hub I figure I will see a change in status tonight or in the morning as they ship it to Dallas and then on to me. I don't expect to see it before Friday but hope to get it early morning and not at 4:59 PM (its being shipped to the office).

Good luck to everyone.

:)

Still no change on my 32GB Verizon... Odd....

Just called Apple.... All they told me was "it's processing" wouldn't tell me where it's shipping from or when they expect it to go out....

I ordered on the 7th.
