So i ordered a new ipad and smart cover (which i accidently ordered 2 so im gonna have to return one because im stupid) yesterday and got the AT&T version. Now i rechecked my order and they switched it to the verizon one (WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME! but im not mad either) which works out because AT&T isnt gonna support the ipads hotspot feature which is why i was considering exchanging it as soon as i got it. So i called the support line and talked to a rep saying i was disgruntled that i wasn't notified and blah blah blah and before i could finish my sentence he goes well sir i can credit you the money for the 2 smart covers ($138.00) for the inconvenience. i accepted his offer and away i went. Anyone else have their 4G version changed?

I switched my FedEx to pick-up. It still says "Hold at FedEx location request received", but it doesn't show what that FedEx location is. I showed the location when I first changed it, but subsequent tracking queries just show "Hold at FedEx location request received" without showing the FedEx location.

Is this normal?

so does "hold for pick up" mean i can pick it up myself on Friday morning? or as soon as it arrives at the destination facility?

Mine also shows standard overnight from Ontario and I'm in the bay area.

Mine is still on processing.. this is driving me nuts.. lol.. I wish it would at least just go to preparing to ship.

so i finally got my fed ex status to work and this is what it says...

Mar 9, 2012 3:00 PM
Picked up
NASHVILLE, TN
Future delivery requested

does this mean they holding it till the 16th because it says delivers the 12th?

ordered 4 ipads, and i just got the shipment notification 30 minutes ago for one of the orders. Funny thing is I ordered 2 right at 4pm est and 2 at 7pm est and the shipment notification I received first was only for the one's ordered at 7pm

yeah they'll hold on to it. From what i remember with the last pre order situation some people got their items a day early but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

just got the tracking info for my black 16 gig wifi. ordered March 7. My white 64 gig verizon is still processing.

They will all be delivered the 16th. Why are people even wondering about this?? The fedex packages say "Future delivery requested". This means there is a deal in line with Fedex to NOT deliver until that date. Regardless of when it "shipped" was "picked up" or anything else.

I am in Michigan and my iPad shipped from Pennsylvania. Just a stones throw away. It was shipped Standard Overnight. But the notes clearly state future delivery. And my item shows Estimated delivery Mar 16, 2012 by 3:00 PM.

Damn, I wish they messed up my order because I really want a leather smart cover.

Pick it up yourself? Yes?

Friday morning? "It depends". Technically, FedEx says you can pickup the day *after* your delivery date, but if you Google the issue, you'll find people can typically pickup the same day *if* FedEx gets sufficient notice.

In my case, the FedEx trucks here "fly by", and don't make much effort to deliver. It is common for them to just leave notices, not even seeming to ring the doorbell. For me, I'd rather wait a day than play "cat and mouse" with the driver, and have my package go on and off the truck multiple times.

I ordered a black 16gb wifi only ipad at 8:30pm PST march 8 and I still haven't received the order confirmation email and my order still shows as processing. I canceled two previous orders on march 7 due to waffling on LTE vs wifi only. Any chance the previous two cancellations have somehow messed up my current order due to 2 preorders per customer limitation?

Status page shows delivery by march 16.

Thanks!

Ordered on the 9th, it says Preparing for Shipment. Not worried a bit. 16th can't come soon enough.

I'm sure some can relate. I hate when I preorder a apple product, or any apple product in that matter. Gotta check if it has shipped or where its at every ten minutes or checking the forums to see where everyone else is at and stressing if yours hasn't change. Oh well I guess its the apple life:apple:

No chance. All the orders are separate and have a different # in the database.

This is my first time pre-ordering an Apple product over picking it up at the local store or Best Buy and it is tearing on my nerves.

I ordered a 64GB white Verizon iPad yesterday and my order information shows it set to be delivered on March 16th but it is still stuck at "Processing". Then today on my lunch break I see a post at one of the Mac site stating that UK customers have been getting notices saying their ship times have slipped almost a week over the original launch date arrival.

I really hope it gets delivered on the 16th. Of course at this point I'd settle for it switching over to Preparing To Ship like the Smart Cover did this morning.

Earlier today my order status was at "Preparing for Shipment," and now it is back to "Processing Items." Weird.

This happen to anyone else?

My order was placed yesterday early afternoon (after I canceled my announcement day order to swap black for white).

Maybe a FedEx worker dropped it.

Now you have to wait for another one. :p

Anybody that placed a pre-order still waiting for their order confirmation email or their shipping information like I am? I placed my order the night of March 8 and have yet to receive either emails and my order is stuck at processing.

Called the CC company, Apple did a pre-auth for $1 but has yet to do a pre-auth for the total cost of the ipad. They did the $1 charge and did the pre-auth for the full cost on my previous two orders that I cancelled. So what does that mean that they haven't done it on my current order?

My 32GB Verizon that I ordered Wednesday immediately after the site came up has finally changed to "Preparing to Ship" which is really encouraging.

My Verizon 32 GB - Black now says "Preparing for Shipment" 2-3 hours ago it still said processing.

edit: ordered the 7th an hour or so after it went live.
