The New iPad Pre-Order Status Thread (USA) - All Models

mine is currently showing "picked up" in nashville, tn. so close yet so farrrrr.
ordered 16gb white wifi only

also, i find it weird that my card hasn't been charged yet. apple put a hold on my debit card, then the hold went away and i all of a sudden had $500+ extra dollars in my account.
 
Shipped!

Ordered 16gb black wifi only on March 7th with a ipad dock. Then I later cancelled the dock, and split the payment onto my debit and credit card. I was assured by the Apple phone rep that my place in line was reserved, even tho the new shipping dates were in effect.

Today I got my shipped notice--it's coming to Chicago and it's currently in Nashville, TN

Apple told me that many of the units that are still in the "Processing Items" status and were ordered early is because many of those units are already State-side and won't show shipping until early this coming week. :apple:

They told me the same thing. My 64GB white AT&T ordered March 7 at around 6pm EST is still processing, ugh, but I'm not really worried because we went through this same process with the iPad 2 and in the end got them as promised.
 
I am still showing 'prepared for shipment'. I ordered my white 32GB AT&T [no engraving] at 5:45 pm Eastern on pre-order day. It seems people ordering after me are showing shipped. What gives?

anyone else have luck with getting free smart covers?

i ordered 2:45 central on 7th, two white 16gb wifi, just finally got shipped status yesterday morning around 10 am central time, with tracking numbers still not working. tried calling apple just now and complaining to first rep, he didn't offer smart covers, then got transferred to a second rep who was a sweet old lady, tried sweet talking her with my frustrations with the whole process, and she didn't offer them either. maybe i call tomorrow again and try again?

In chicago btw.
 
Weird. I ordered two iPads. One right after the website came online and another one later that night. The one I ordered right after the website came online still says preparing for shipment, but delivery on march 16th via next day delivery. My apple tv says that as well.

Interesting my iPad that I ordered later that night says delivered on March 16th via standard shipping. Anyone else getting this?

you want a free smart cover because your tracking number isnt working yet? how exactly is that apples fault? stop harassing the reps.

That's disgusting. I ordered around the same time as, you, still processing, no shipping notice yet and no tracking number, which of course was not promised. What was promised was March 16 delivery, which I'm confident you and I will both have. Calling repeatedly to try to get free stuff when they haven't done anything wrong is gross.

Being in the shipping business I can tell you around 3/4 of air freight goes through Kentucky because of the UPS Worldport Air Hub & FedEx Express Superhub. Almost all the freight comes there & gets separated there to go to the end destination.

I preordered the white nonengraved 64GB wifi Ipad on 3/09 between 10:00 and 11:00am (I don't remember the exact time) and received an email confirmation at 12:11pm. When I initially placed my order, it said that it would be delivered on the 16th and it still says that although it has not shipped yet. It is currently in the "Preparing for Shipment" status and has been in that status since the 9th. I live in Florida.

you can all kiss my arse for responding so harshly. if you read through the threads one person posted that he got free smart cover, and there is a string of others who said they then attempted the same with no luck. so why no criticism against them!? if a multibillion dollar company can give one frustrated preorder customer something for free, why should i not attempt to do the same, esp since i took a few hours off from work to preorder and i'm sure they didn't? there is no harm in trying, and for the record, i didn't harrass..i got a sweet old lady and tried to get them through kindness, while the other guy who succeeded in getting one was probably acting like an ass. so to you wishing bad against what i did and with harsh comments, GFYS!

Hey, give him a break. According to his handle, he's a Jazzman and Jazz performers are used to scamming for free stuff :cool: :D
 
So my iPad got shipped and I got an invoice saying my credit card got charged but on my bank account theres no charge. There was a PENDING charge for it but that has disappear and the money came back to my account. Is that normal??
