Right, but it was fairly clear the resolution on the original iPad left room for improvement. I'm sure I didn't actually use the term "retina."

I got the same model with engraving, and it was shipped from China. It's currently in Lousiville now. There was a rumor about a bunch of iPad's were already in the US last week. Maybe the one's that got engraved were made, engraves, and shipped from China.

I'll be completely honest if I saw a gas station selling gas for 38 cents I would most definitely stop and fill up. Thats just me though, ;)
 
Ordered two on March 8th around 11:20PM EST; 32GB White engraved Verizon & 16GB White engraved Wi-fi only. The 32GB one is "Preparing for shipment", and my 16GB is STILL processing! It's been at the same status for the past 2 days now. It still says delivery on March 16th. I'm in Northern Virginia btw.

Hopefully tomorrow it'll ship and I'll finally get my tracking numbers. This is going to be a long week for me...

i ordered 2:45 central on 7th, two white 16gb wifi, just finally got shipped status yesterday morning around 10 am central time, with tracking numbers still not working. tried calling apple just now and complaining to first rep, he didn't offer smart covers, then got transferred to a second rep who was a sweet old lady, tried sweet talking her with my frustrations with the whole process, and she didn't offer them either. maybe i call tomorrow again and try again?

What would make you think that you deserve smart covers? As long as you get the iPad on the 16th what else should matter?
 
iPad Shipping From PA

My order shipped today from Middletown, PA with a "future delivery requested" of 3/16.

32GB White Wi-Fi only, no engraving.
 
I ordered the new iPad AT&T 4G on March 7, 2012 at 15:32 CST. I received the order confirmation email on March 7, 2012 at 17:04 CST. Today around 13:42 CST I noticed that the order status had changed from processing to preparing for shipment. I'm refreshing my apple store account every 3 mins in case the order ships and my email server is down. I also took the week off to prepare and monitor the shipment. I will also be tracking local ups and FedEx delivery trucks, get to know the drivers, and learn their habits. Once I know who is shipping the iPad, I will also try and get a job at the local distribution facility, but that might not be workable.
 
Ordered on March 6.

Same boat here. 32gb engraved wi-fi on 3/8 at 10:30am. STILL processing! Ugh! :mad:

Also the pending amount on my CC is higher than it should be, by around $70. Weird.
 
I ordered my Verizon 32GB iPad on March 7th. It was apparently shipped at 2 pm yesterday via FedEx, but the tracking number still doesn't work... Been well past the 24 hours its supposed to take for the information to sync into the system.

Same Boat. Except my credit card is showing p the charge as pending. Also, there are two $1.00 charges from Apple, one before and one after. You think they are having trouble charging the card?

I recently moved. Damn Zipcodes!! :mad:
 
I asked this on the last page but would like to get more input. My iPad is now at the Ontario FedEx in SoCal and would like to know if there is any way I could pick it up before Friday. I'll be out of town and won't be able to get it for like a week after Friday.

This is a great idea. I know which depot mine is going to, so I'll apply online for a position tonight. :)
 
Mine is hanging out in Ontario too....scheduled for delivery by 3pm on 3/16.....something tells me this is going to be a lllloooooooonnnnnggggg week.
