If your order says "Processing" your iPad is probably already in the USA.

Just realized my shipping info says it was shipped yesterday with standard overnight service. Why would mine be shipped with overnight service when it is not supposed to get here until March 16th and I only live about 7 hours from Middeltown, PA.

that should be the request from apple to the shipping carrier to make sure everyone gets their order on the release date. except those people who place the order later than announcement date.

I'm still in "Preparing for Shipment" status, but I'm also guessing it's because my iPad was already in the USA. I'll probably see the status change on Tuesday. Still makes me ansty pants though 😱

(I ordered about an hour or 90 min after the end of launch announcement.)

Ordered 2 ipads, shipping to different addresses.

Both are shipped, and located at Middletown PA (going to NYC)
FEDEX says that shipper requested future delivery, so I doubt it will come early

Nope. "One delivery attempt is required due to the contract between Apple and FedEx." I got that from both FedEx and Apple.

I am leaving at 9 am on the 16th for a few days and had hoped to have it held at the FedEx depot 4 miles from my house. No luck. I can do it on other packages but not something from Apple.

Took me 3 calls to get that confirmed. I'm not sure what sense that makes but it is a ultimate answer I received.

I placed an order for 2 64G, AT&T iPads, one black (for Hubby), one white (for me), on wednesday, right after the Keynote.The order for the white unit was placed first, the order for the black, a few hours later because the Apple Store kept going down. The weird thing, is that the black one has shipped, but the white is still showing "preparing for shipment".🙁 I am not wondering if I will even get mine by Friday.🙁🙁

I doubt they would, but has anyone ever tried calling fedex and asking them to remove the "future delivery" request? Telling them that you WILL be home and that there is no need to wait to deliver? 🙂 Usually that's what a future delivery requests are for... postponing until you are available to receive the package.

Mine shipped via FedEx. Has the "future delivery requested" status, though. I was actually in Middletown yesterday at the airport. wish I could have had some visitation with it.

32GB White Wifi, ordered 4:30pm Eastern on Wednesday, just went to shipped. Fedex Overnight from Middletown, PA, coming to NC, but also has the future delivery requested flag. My AppleTV from the same order still hasn't even gone out of processing yet 🙁

Mine was marked as shipped like 10 minutes ago. It's sitting in Ontario, CA. I really wish they would have used UPS. I don't trust the FedEx guy that delivers here. He stole 2 of my firesale touchpads (luckily HP replaced them for me because they said they never got signature proof), but if I get my iPad stolen someone is going to get hurt lol.

The driver even came to my door and was like I remember I placed 2 white boxes right here. I'm like sure you did because the Touchpad came in a brown delivery box! His voice was quivering so I knew he stole them. I live in a pretty safe neighborhood and I know my neighbors wouldn't have taken them and they were apparently only sitting outside for 15 minutes. I know because I was so excited to get the touchpads that I was checking delivery status like every 3 minutes to see if they were delivered yet.

32GB LTE... Sitting there all alone in Louisville in a cold dark warehouse all weekend when it could have been delivered to me... How sad. I suspect that UPS or Apple is holding them there until they need to release them to prevent them from being delivered before Friday. Just a guess but I do know my mac book pro came from china and was in my hand 2 days later... We will see if the status changes tomorrow... And yes there is a 20 in it for my local ups driver if he shows up with it before Friday. 🙂
