FWIW, it looks like the full range of 2014 minis is now showing in the refurb/clear-the-inventory part of the Apple Store.
The Australian refurb store has more Minis than I have seen in it for a long time, maybe ever, and I have been keeping a regular eye on the refurb store for at least 5 years.

In fact, the refurb store has more Macs (Minis and laptops) than I have ever seen in it, and by a very big margin, at least twice. They are ditching old stock of those ranges big time.

If what happens in the refurb store is any indication, then something is going on. Almost certainly enough to keep this thread alive for another year or so. :D

Sitting here using Final Cut Pro X on my 2012 quad right now. It runs great, my system is on a 1tb Samsung T3 external USB 3.0 SSD. Would not want to go back to 2011 or forward to 2014. :D

Well, I for one would go to 2017/2018 model. ;)

Me too... please send me a link where I can order the quad core version! :D

The 2017 Mac mini is already on the Apple website

What is that, a Thunderbolt display? LOL, it speaks volumes that they showcase a discontinued display with the Mini. And I don't see a link to the quad core 2017 Mini either. ;)

eDRAM:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EDRAM

Embedded DRAM (eDRAM) is dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) integrated on the same die or multi-chip module (MCM)[1] of an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) or microprocessor. eDRAM's cost-per-bit is higher when compared to equivalent standalone DRAM chips used as external memory, but the performance advantages of placing eDRAM onto the same chip as the processor outweigh the cost disadvantages in many applications.
ok.. why i see diff spec ? seem like rumor/troll

These are the specs of the actual Macbooks (Pros) and the basic iMac so... no, nothing in these is trollish. These are the components, that could possibly be included in the updated Mac minis.

The only "problem" is/are the price/s. These won't be so cheap.

Sorry, I don't get it... Your link points to the 2014 mini page on Apple's Site. Then apparently you have edited a version of and posted here with your own specs and prices? I guess it's an attempt at humor or just wishful thinking? Probably violates some Apple trademarks and copyrights to take a page from their website and modify it without even including a disclaimer. ;)

More important: Does Apple violate FTC or EU laws by marketing and selling a 3 year old machine as "new"?

No, because "new" is not relative to the design or age of the components, but whether the physical product has been previously sold and remarked or not. So a Mac Mini assembled three days (or three years) ago is "new" if it's being offered for sale for the first time.

It's coming folks! Tue will have been worth all the years we've waited to see the new Mini headlined for 30 mins. They might even do a "Once More Thing..." segment and introduce the xMac!

Of all the truly humorous posts in this thread, you sir win the prize! I was closer to winning the 800 million lotto than this scenario happening :)

Maybe they'll give us a MacBook Air-style "update" and introduce a slightly-faster 1.6 GHz Haswell processor in the low-end Mac mini and call it an update.
