How long were you at Best Buy?!?!?!?!?!?🤯
I was only at Best Buy for maybe 15 minutes. I just wanted to see the colors in person.

I was just describing how indecisive I was. I was constantly switching back and forth between colors. I lost count how many times I went to the Apple website and AT&T website changing my cart from a Sierra Blue iPhone to a Graphite iPhone and vice versa.

I’m always sold on a black, space gray or graphite iPhone. That’s my default color of choice. I wanted a change from my norm. I was feeling risky because I loved the Pacific Blue from the 12 pro models once I saw it in person. I couldn’t decide if I really wanted the Sierra Blue or stick to my normal color of choice.

When I watched the Apple Event, I was sure I wanted Sierra Blue. Once the reviews started being posted on YouTube, I switched to Graphite. Then I’d look at other reviews and go back to Sierra Blue, and watch another review and switch back to Graphite… and so on. Then I’d see pictures of people getting their iPhone deliveries and go with graphite, and look at more pictures and go crawling back to Sierra Blue. The only way I was gonna solve my indecisiveness was to see them in person. Then I took a trip to Best Buy because I’m sure the apple store would have been crowded with people compared to Best Buy. I was only there for about 15 minutes.

the problem is in reality it doesn't look like anything like the baby blue on the apple's website so people will be disappointed they are not getting that and instead are getting a pale bluish/greish instead. Many will be ok with but others won't .
The phone definitely is not a baby blue to me it’s a more grayish blue which I prefer. And it looks great with the midnight case. I have for years only bought the graphite color or black phone and I think I’ve only had the gold phone once and that was several years ago so this year I decided to switch it up and go with the Sierra blue and I like it it’s a nice change. Like I said it is definitely more to me on the bluish gray side I don’t see any purple in it.

Next step: get Sierra Blue, return it for Graphite and vice versa. Settle for one color before iPhone 14 comes out.

I do have to say I wasn’t expecting this Sierra Blue to be that baby blue. To me it looks grayish blue like you described it.

I am not saying Sierra Blue is a bad color. It is not a new color in the market and surely not the best color.

That is all I am saying.
I guess we’ll be told the best color at this year’s “surely the best color” awards. Until then we’ll just have to pretend whatever color we like best is the best. 😂

So far today my Sierra Blue Pro has looked pure grey, pale blue, and now for some crazy reason in this lighting at the hotel it looks pale purple. Not as intense as my purple mini of course. So far every color it’s been has been understated. I love it! And I just took several steps and it’s grey again. No wait, periwinkle blue.

Yeah good luck trying to nail down exactly what color this phone is. Apple did a brilliant job with it.
Nailed it 🌋🌋🌋🌋

I run an Argument Clinic on topic “Why Midnight Green is the best colour Apple made”. I take one pound per five minute session.

I loved midnight green, but I had major issues with the PVD coating on my 11 pro turning yellow/brown over time. It looked like **** after only a few months. I like this new sierra blue a lot as well, but i'm scared the same crap will happen.

Should be covered under warranty.

Many say that the Sierra Blue is light grey with blue mixed in it.

It is the opposite of Graphite, which is grey with black mix.

If some clear cases, the Sierra Blue is sure looking grey and when the clear skin starts to turn yellow ( if not from Apple), it will be looking horrible.

It still does look like that under certain lighting conditions. It’s a light shade/color, hence it tends to react differently to different light sources.

I thought it looked gray(ish) until I got it home and held it next to my space gray MBP. Then it was obviously blue!! I love it!!!

It’s greyish blue.

Try to put a clear case on it and stand further away. It is look like grey.

Hell even without a clear case and you stand further away, it will look like grey.

It is that kind of a color. What looks nice is the frame and that is why one should use this phone without a case.

All I want is a smaller pro phone with only touch id and all the pro features , coming from the mini after a year this phone is just too big

Apple wanted me to basically pay the replacement price under Applecare+ saying it was just 'normal wear and tear'. I refuse to do that as a PVD coating shouldn't discolor that fast.

Apple now gives 4 replacement chances under 2 years with Apple care +

That is why now one should not worry about rocking the phone without a case

Next year hopefully finger print reader should be available under the screen.

It may be just another small update with that feature and a new color from Apple to hype up the sales.
