Waiting on confirmation from Apple before removing stuff from the OP. Btw, what do you think of the new/updated OP?
Definitely cleaner. Let's keep it this way. ;)

P.S. Maybe you could make another thread with features that have already been completed? Still waiting for an iPad-specific feature list as well...

I'd like a Kirikae style app switching, with an option to enable a real multitasking for an app, like backgrounder did.

I looked up Kirikae on youtube. It's pretty cool, but I don't really see how it's superior to multitasking the way I posted in the OP. Being able to swipe through your apps seems cooler than Kirikae.

I have a 3GS, and It's going to be super slow with iOS5 so I will have to get a new phone. I hope the iPhone 5 or 4G, or 4GS will have some of those features in the list, I'm getting bored of iOS after using it since it came out and I even thought about getting an Android phone or a Blackberry

I like Kirikae's simplicity and speed.

I feel like the current method is even simpler. You don't even notice it's going on (you don't have to close any of the apps running in the background, they don't use up any resources).

What impact will liquid metal have on the iPhone? Have we heard anything more about it since the purchase? They should just name the next iPhone the T-1000 :D

Hopefully it will reduce the chance for accidents. The glass back is nice, just not when you drop it.

I look forward to that. But honestly, if Apple switches to true gorilla glass (as shown in the video with the dell streak), then that would stop accidents completely as well.

I would like to have the ability to refresh a page, WITHOUT having to go all the way to the top of the page...I think they should implement a "pull up" to refresh...like facebook/other apps do similar to "pull down" to refresh...Plus would make looking at MacRumors forums a lot easier...

Thank you iRance

I could see that being very useful actually. Great idea.

Actually, its a fairly silly idea. You'd still have to scroll to the top of the page to refresh - you need to be at the top (or bottom with some) to refresh, thus negating the entire idea.

How does that solve anything?

Some of these "suggestions" are not thought out and fairly laughable. /facepalm

Oh, and wikoogle - stop making multiple posts and bumping your own thread

Well, it's not exactly what you're looking for, but almost. In Safari, if anywhere on the page you push and hold the statusbar, you'll be brought back to the top of the page, so you can refresh it.

Here is a picture of a mock iPhone that maintains the same identical height as the iPhone 4 (it is wider though) while managing to pack a whopping 4.5" screen...

I've ALWAYS wanted this design since like 2009. Or whenever we first saw it, but I know it's an old leak.

All I want is a bigger screen
Better notifications
More customization
I want the OS to graduate in a sense.

Either way I'm getting iPhone 5.

I want to be able to change the colors of or add pictures to people in my all text message views so that there are decreased odds that I text the wrong person the wrong thing.
I want text messages to automatically resend themselves if they have a problem when a connection is reestablished.
I want to be able to mark podcasts for deletion from the computer on the next sync.

Just tap the top bar where it has your signal, data connection, time, and battery. Scrolls up to the top.

I love like 90% of what the OP said in his first post on this thread. Some good ideas out there, would make the iPhone just that much better..

Thanks. I'm waiting for the iPhone 5 or 6 to catch up to the PSP2.

The PSP2 is really damn impressive.

Quad core A9 cpu, and each A9 core is about 30-50% more powerful than the single core A8 cpu that powers the current iPhone 4.

Quad core SGX543 gpu, and each SGX543 core is almost twice as powerful as the single core SGX535 gpu that powers the current iPhone 4.

LPDDR2 ram, which runs at about six times the clock speed of the LPDDR1 ram being used in the current iPhone 4.

Anyway you look at it, the PSP2 is roughly six times more powerful than the iPhone 4, and yet the iPhone 4 can run games that look as amazing as Epic Citadel. So just imagine how good PSP2 games could look.

All you Verizon people, welcome. Be sure to give me input on what's missing from the Verizon iPhone too, unless they're completely identical (I'm not sure).

That + the option to drag and drop files into the iPhone is all I really want to see as well.
