Good deal, but somebody here got a 16gb 2nd gen for 70 bucks because the seller didnt want to know what to do after he tried to update to iOS4 and it froze. Works fine!!! Oh, plus it had a broken screen.

okay THAT'S insane. the lowest an iPod touch would ever go is 199 and that's 8GB. 16 for even less, and with more features on the 4G, is crazy.

Typo! I meant around $249. But if they rid of the 8gb then the 16gb will be $199.

I'd still prefer paying 199 for 8GB, but that's just me because my touch is mainly used for music and apps, no videos/movies here.

I tried to update my 2nd gen, and it froze also. My guess is there wasn't enough room left to fit iOS4. That's ok, I just let my 8 yr old play w/ the 2nd gen, and he's happy and I have my 3rd gen to myself, which updated beautifully to iOS4.
I noticed it hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread, but I think I remember reading it in other threads on the potential 4th gen.

I know for me, that would DEFINITELY seal the deal for me. I have stupid Boost Mobile, and they SUCK for availability of service. I am pretty cheap,(LOL..that's why I have Boost Mobile!) and I'd wait a year before buying the 4th gen, just to pay a lower price, but if it has 3G, I'd buy it new. I had Skype for home phone, so I'd just use that has my "cell phone"

You can put it in DFU mode and then restore it, but make sure its set to 3.1.3 firmware. That should work.
If it is for the iPad it should be possible for the iPod Touch.... haha, Boost Mobile.

I got it for Christmas 2007. It was great. Had no problems. Except their payment plans. It was CHEAPER for Pay As You go, than it was for "unlimited" plans. (200/300/400 min plans) I called the BBB twice on them, because I felt I was getting ripped off. (I got money back both times)
Since they came out w/ the Unlimited on the East Coast, their service went down the toilet. Now, mind you, I'm not a cell phone talker per say. I can talk for hours on the home phone, but I HATE the cell phone, but it's nice to have when I'm out and about. I used to spend $10-$20/month before I moved in January. Now I spend about $5, because I use it so infrequently, because I never have any bars.
If I forget to forward my calls to my house phone before I get to my block, I can't do it, because I don't have a strong enough signal to do it ! LOL !!!
If iTouch 4 has 3G, Skype will be my new cell phone. ;0)
You're probably correct but I wouldn't bet on it. Grammar and spelling today is nowhere to be found. And what is even more sad is the fact that people don't care and think it is funny. Until they try and find a job.
You should probably get tracPhone or something cause Boost Mobile is ****. Sprint really should fix it. Back to the topic though.

Has anybody noticed that the Ipod Touch 4 and Ipod Touch come out soon threads are actually moved so that they are links to my thread, or is it just my computer? I dont think its my computer cause they're on the same subject, both have the moved signs, and are both links to my thread.
That is probably a good idea so that this forum is not overrun with redundant threads. Just today someone started a new thread about when the new iPod Touch will be released. Apparently, not many people bother to browse the threads before they start a new thread, or use the search feature.
