iPod touch The Next iPod Touch

I think there should only be 16 and 32. I can't imagine someone wanting 128 GB of space on this class of device.
But some people need 64gb for their music and such. Those "people" not being me.
I already have my 160GB Classic for my music. I love it, it's got everything and anything on it (I'm up to about 9000+ songs), with plenty of room left. Kind of takes the pressure off the Touch purchase and makes me feel like 16GB is the sweet spot instead of feeling like I need to stretch for the 64GB.
It may be hard for you to imagine, but some people do have those storage needs, and some of them may want a Touch and not a Classic.
Personally, I am in the process of ripping, collecting, finding every bit of music from my life that I've liked, listened to, etc. I'm up to over 50GB of music. Even if I had a 64GB Touch, I'd be on the borderline of pushing it right now. The Classic works for me as a music jukebox workhorse though.

I was wondering if anyone would be posting this link. I saw this on the iLounge Forum, earlier on Thursday.
I'm sure that it'll have the front facing camera and back cam, but maybe the back cam will have a slightly smaller resolution. They'll also have a gyro and an A4 chip. Retina display is a definite yes. Just my two cents

This might be proof that the iPod touch 4th generation will be getting a front facing camera for facetime! I would love it if it did!
These are the features i am hoping for:
1.Back facing camera (3.2 mp or better)
2.Retina Display
3.Gyroscope for better gameplay
4.front facing camera for facetime with iPhone 4 users!
5.New design to match iPhone 4's or iPad's (I don't really care which one though)
6.A4 Processor
7.iOS 4.1 built in (if they come out with one to fix any problems in the programming)
8.512mb of ram
9. 16/32/64 priced at $199/299/399
10.More colors for the device!
All of these are probable changes and shouldn't be that hard. I don't think this would affect iPhone 4's sales because people buy the iPhone 4 for the PHONE part!! Also, they buy it for the 3G coverage. I do not expect the iPod Touch 4th gen to get 3G coverage because then that would definitely
's new baby, the iPad, so that won't happen.
I hope all of these changes get implemented but even if they don't, I will still be buying the 4th gen because I have a feeling it is going to be revolutionary!

Front camera will only be VGA, if they include it. Likeliness of FM radio is low. It should have iPhone 4 design. Otherwise I agree with everything else.
I really like the iphone 4 design.It will be awesome if ipod touch takes that iphone 4 design.But the price is a trouble i don`t want a 32 gb ipod touch or 8gb ipod touch i would like an ipod touch 4g with 16gb storage.

The iPad comes in 16/32/64GB's and Yes, they will probably sell the 3G for 199$ and the new one with 32GB and 64GB's for 299 and 399$ They can't justify to sell two 16GB models with a 100$ Difference and 299$ Sounds great if they put all the iPhone 4 Specs besides the phoneIm hoping on 199 4G 16GB ipod touch but im doubtful too.
Heres what i think might happen: 199 3G 16gb, 199 8GB 4G. Hopefully im wrong.

iPad is $499 for 8GB.
8GB's is a very low capacity these days for an iOS Device, the First iPhone had that storage, In my opinion even 16GB is not enough for an average person with an iPhone 4 since it records HD Video that uses a lot of storage and with the retina display many images have to be 4 times bigger too
I even feel like Apple would never have the same design for both devices since they want to make a difference between them so you feel you're getting the whole thing with the iPhone, I wouldn't get an iPhone if the new iPod Touch had the same specs as the iPhone 4 with a one time fee of 299-399$ and apple would probably loose money that way

iTunes or CDs?
Mostly CDs. Mostly hunting down and finding my own CDs. They are squirreled away everywhere. I also find buying used CDs ends up cheaper than iTunes in most cases, and you get the actual product, which I like. But the occasional rare set of songs that I just can't find on eBay I can usually find on either iTunes, Amazon MP3, or both.

Has anybody thought about the cases? I certainly will be buying a case for my prized possession. I think the iPod Touch 4G will have the same dimension of the iPod Touch with two cameras so that the case companys only have to make one product for both devices.
All the iPod Touch owners will get a far better selection of cases than before, and so will the iPhone owners(sorta).
I dont really care if they have colors cause i will have a case on.

If they do take the form of the iPhone 4 and put it in the iPt4, they'll probably have bumpers for it.
