If they really want to enhance Facetime they will have both cameras. It will most likely not mantain the same thickness because of all the additions, but will not increase in thickness by much.I think the next itouch will get facetime and a back camera...HOWEVER it will probably remain the same thickness. and the iphone4 design will definitely rub off onto itouch 4g.
What do you guys think?

Yep.Steve Jobs said that he will sell tens of millions of facetime devices in 2010...but all we can do is hope.
How much money have you saved so far? Do you have a job?
Awesome dude, im almost 13 too. Ive got nothin saved but i make about $120 a month with allowances from parents and grandparents!Yep.
So far i have little over $100 saved. Pff... A job. I wish. Im only 13. Im going to sell a BUNCH of my various possesions.
Almost? $120/month? WTF? I wish i got that kind of money. I dont get allowance... yet....Awesome dude, im almost 13 too. Ive got nothin saved but i make about $120 a month with allowances from parents and grandparents!

The gyro has to be 100%. Apple has been marketing the iPod touch as a gaming device. Guess what the gyroscope is useful for?
Lucky....Because she loves me...ALOT, me and my sister are her only grandchildren![]()
About to say that. I think if they will have one camera they should have both. Retina and Gyro are both 99% because most apps are compatible and they have most likely overstocked on both. A4 chip is obvious, again overstocked. It will most likely be shipped with either 4.0.1 or 4.0.2, most likely 4.0.1. I dont think a total redesign is nessacary, just no chrome, and maybe a more square design. There most likely will not be 128GB, maybe if there was a 64GB iPhone 4 though. If they decide to make the base model a 4G it wont have anywhere near all the features. Nicer speakers and audio quality is most likely. A better processor is 100% because of the A4. It wont be smaller, why would they want that, they might want it thinner but thats not going to happen. It might be lighter though.Just so this thread will get back on topic....here are some features that I think we will see in the iPod Touch 4th Generation
Front Facing Camera -96%
Back Facing Camera -60%
Retina Display -70%
A4 Chip -Definitely
iOS4 -Definetely
Gyroscope -99%
All New Design -90%
16, 32, 64, and 128gb Storage -99%
Starting Price $199 US -80%
Updated Sound speakers and quality -100%
Faster -100%
Smaller -40%
Lighter -50%
Yep, plus alot of apps are compatible. The gyro has to be 100%. Apple has been marketing the iPod touch as a gaming device. Guess what the gyroscope is useful for?
Back Camera: 5.0 MPYeah, that isss true. Ill edit it to 99% What do you think about the cameras? 0, 1, or 2? How many pixels?
...Retina and Gyro are both 99% because most apps are compatible and....
Ok, some apps are compatible, and more are going to be.Not True...Most applications still havent been enhanced enough to look good with retina thats why my previous signature asked develepors to make them compatible.
front 3.0
back 5.0 megapixels sound good unless they are both 5.0
Can you make a poll asking how many cameras people think the touch will get?
Thanx![]()
^That's unlikely. Usually the cheapest version of the truly-new model is $299.
Yep.September - Apple's Music (iPod + iTunes) Event.![]()
Uhhhmmmmmm... not really.v2Allen, I have a feeling your obsessed with the thread starter here. It's only a few more weeks until the Apple event. Get your countdowns ready.
Not very.just a question how likely is it for there to be 4th gen across the board, on the 8gb or 16gb, 32 gb, and 64 gb. this is a concern for me because at most i'll only be able to get $200 to $250. But i still want a 4th gen, not a previous model like the apple is doing right now, with the low end being a previous model.

I think they will most likely have a $199 4G without all the features i.e. it will most likely have the camera(s) but not much, if anything, else.not to be mean but they have only had an old model at the lowest price, one time. that's not usually or a trend. but how likely is it percentage wise?
Interesting. Not many mentions of GPS. GPS chips are not that expensive and could fit even with all the other listed features with a slightly modified design. Most navigation apps have maps preloaded, so wifi is not necessary.
This, as well as the other features mentioned, would make the iPod touch, well, untouchable for years to come. Not that the competition is exactly nipping at Apple's heals. Still, Apple is about staying well ahead of the game. Expect the unexpected this September. The high end model may cost $450-$500, but you can almost certainly expect a price drop with the 32gb model (I'm currently using the 2nd gen 8gb iPod touch).
I just dont think that GPS would be a nessacary addition for the 4G.
I dont think a price drop is probable, but hoped for.
Either way, I'm waiting for the refresh before I upgrade. It's a win/win situation. If the update is not what I expect, I can get the 3rd gen at a better price.
