yeah...after seeing that ugly mock up, it would make sense that steve will put slimmer 3gs design on the new touch.
I have not researched other app stores. What is the android or zune app experience like in comparison to apple apps? Are either of them larger or featuring similar apps?
Personally, id like a redesign, then chrome backs are out, the iPod nano has dropped them, time for the iPod touch to follow, i do like the new iPhone design, and if implemented here, could look really good
I think however that Apple may also like to go for an iPad style design, guess we'll just have to wait and see though
I don't see the iTouch getting thicker. They fit two cameras into the iPhone 4. They can fit one into a slimmer design.
I will scream if they don't give us multitasking, folders, and the springboard customization. Sometimes Apple makes stupid mistakes, and that might be one of them. But it is VERY likely.
Better res is guaranteed. They say its a gaming device - this makes it a better gaming device.
How is 16gbs a step backwards?

Facetime might be likely though. On another thread someone pointed out that Mr. Jobs said (and I quote) "facetime devices". That might say that iMac, iTouch, and iPad just might be getting facetime. Possible, but maybe not possible. Not everyone has an iPhone 4.

I personally want them to make the iTouch wider. It is just too thin for my taste. Plus the iPhone 4 has TWO cameras, and as stated is the thinnest phone on the market.
I have to agree, chrome really does suck. I really want aluminum.
the current ipod touch is aluminum backing
i want crystal backing
While we are dreaming, lets make the back out of gold and the case out of unobtainium.
Last one before we get backon topic. How about one that is soo thin and strong, and amazing, that it is just a glass screen digitizer and camera and looked perfect?
I agree. Has that been done before??? I'm not sure....![]()
Me!ebay... what isnt on that website...
I already understood, thanks.

nah...gold back is yellow and ugly.
I'm rather surprised that not as many people desire higher storage capacity for 4G. I have a 64 GB 3G that is full to capacity and I would buy a 128 GB Touch even IF there were no other new features. That being said, I think Apple is going to surprise us with some tantalizing new stuff this go-around. Correction: I KNOW they will. Some of you get it - each device fills a niche that the other products can't fill. An iPod Touch as a small iPad or a phoneless iPhone would be adverse to Apple's mantra: create a necessity. The iPod made Apple what it is, and will do so again this September.
Now? I say 10%. Next year? I say 70%. The year after the next? 95%. iPad 2 with 128 Gb? I say 99%.Also, how likely is the 128 GB touch if that would cost about $200 to put into it?
This year; 3%, next year; 50%, next year iPad; 75%.Also, how likely is the 128 GB touch if that would cost about $200 to put into it?

There should be a poll "Which valuable metal will the next ipod be made of"
Also, how likely is the 128 GB touch if that would cost about $200 to put into it?
okay THAT'S insane. the lowest an iPod touch would ever go is 199 and that's 8GB. 16 for even less, and with more features on the 4G, is crazy.
I totally agree with your statement about each product filling a specific niche. I have been thinking that ever since I have been reading the wishlists for the 4G iPod Touch.I'm rather surprised that not as many people desire higher storage capacity for 4G.
