Realistically, I'm just hoping for the retina display, and the A4 processor + 512GB of RAM. Apple will mostly likely add these features, so I'm not setting up for disappointment. :)

But I will definitely still by the new iPod as long as it has at least a facetime camera and a new hardware design. The memory doesn't matter as much to me (and I have my phone as a camera).

Is it typical for the new ipods to be available day-of? The idea of being able to go out right after the conference and pickup the new touch is really great. I can't recall if this is something they do with ipods or just certain other products.
 
Ugh, those in the US are so lucky. It'll be 1 am where i am at when the keynote starts! :mad: Doubt i'll be able to stay awake

Im not lucky.. i will be studying american literature while steve jobs is up on stage announcing some new gadget to 348507384 people and i have to wait till 6 to see it

Will be 5am for me and I will be up tabbing through several the live blogs.

Good luck. I'm picking one and going with it. During an event like this one, they tend to get bogged down and go slowly loading. I don't want to load several slow pages, only one.
 
Now, the event is tomorrow at noon. The ipods will be in store the same day (at US locations)? I know I'm jumpy for it, but I'm very excited about the new one. I have been living with a awful screen 1G ipod with almost no battery life for a bit now. I doubt supplies will run short, since we make up a small portion of the population and not a terribly large amount of people actually know as much as us.

I don't think the average lay-person gives a crap about updates for the new iPods in general. They just want a music player.

There won't be a line in front of the Apple store; it's in the bag for us. xD

I have class, but I use my MBP to take notes so I'll have engadget's live blog up and running =)

I love tech updates. If apple told me every time they updated their printers I would listen. The lack of lines will please me as well. :D
