Ah....probably just the night custodian bumped into an important computer at Apple and pressed the wrong key...

Probably the same guy that did maintenance on our fire prevention system a week ago. When I got into the server room, that freaking idiot had installed his laptop ON TOP of the keyboard of one of the server consoles (and NO, he wasn't supposed to be in there alone in the first place...)

Anyway - back to the topic: I WANT A NEW MBP!

just good old pessimism

what makes you say that?

oh - I've just had my hopes up so many times recently .... this is just my way of dealing with it. (I'm hoping secretly, but I have vodka in reserve just incase). :D

A lot of people have been saying how Apple won't release a MBP quietly if it has new features. But think about it...They have begun to use these "Apple Guided Tours" a lot, and on almost every new product release. So if it does have new features, case, color, etc it could easily and effectively be explained/advertised thru a guided tour video... anyway I gotta go keep refreshing the store, LATER

Nothing is going to happen, only the U.S. store is down, normaly all stores wuold be down by now, I believe it is some U.S. specific updates, and therefore not a MacBook Pro.

Maybe they would update U.S. and Canada stores with new MBP first and others later? Is this a possibility?

I think earlier Apple updated all the stores at the same time (and the stores were down in every country). Last week the EU stores weren't down at all and they were updated without downtime after the US launch. Maybe this is the new way to update stores.

indeed

They release everything in the US first, then the rest of the world gets upgraded.

the Singapore store always lags a day or so behind. It was a day before MBA made it onto the site and it's still on preorder 2-3 weeks.
