I wonder who the "him"is that the Daleks kill?

Rose's alter-dad? Micky? the Doctor?

Or the scientist guy? I don't think it will be Rose's alter dad, or mickey as I think there will be a happy ending with Jackie going to live with him in the parallel universe.

You can bet on it the Daleks, and Cybermen, will be destroyed at the end of "Doomsday". Over the years of Doctor Who from the First Doctor to the Tenth - the Daleks always get defeated only to return again and again!

The Daleks are the Doctor's biggest enemies and the show wouldn't be the same without them though the Daleks obivously will reappear again somewhere in series 3 or 4. The Doctor will never see the last of them...

When you're playing with such a series as Doctor Who, where time travel and dimension leaping exists, an enemy will never truly die. It's the fabric of Who. unless they bring in some kind of Inquisitor-style guy like that in Red Dwarf. The guy who can wipe you from history and existence altogether. now THAT would make for a fantastic enemy!

A renegade Time Lord perhaps raggedjimmi. He could wipe people from history cos they did something bad and thinks he and the Doctor are alike, when clearly he's not. Want to write an episode? :p

Be it known I've only seen a handful of episodes before the New Who  notably some Dalek film and an episode with a dinosaur down a back alley in London *could have been something else* so I don't know what you said was sarcasm ;)

No it wasn't sarcasm  , I thought it was a genuinly good idea for an episode. I love that Red Dwarf episode aswell. I think the one with the dinosaur was (apptly named) Invasion Of The Dinosaurs with Jon Pertwee (the 3rd Doctor), from 1974.

I'll say one thing I was very pleased to see last night – the return of the black-handled Cyberleader!

Excellent! *clenches fist*

Absolutely although I was far more excited to see the return of the Supreme Dalek

Wow, I just finished watching Army of Ghosts with a massive hangover and can't wait for next weeks conclusion, Daleks v Cybermen, Daleks & Cybermen v Humanity yesss! what an ending, I also particularly liked the scene when Alistair Appleton (you know Cash in the Attic and lots of other crap daytime TV programmes) gets strangled to death (something I would like to do to him, God he annoys me, just hearing his voice grrrrrr) also I would of liked to have seen that Trisha Goddard get it too, maybe she might get fried with a Dalek "Death Ray" in next weeks episode, I wait with anticipation at the thought of that scene :p .

I do kind of hope that the Daleks and Cybermen escape to fight another day in some part of the universe and aren't completely destroyed as it's always nice to bump into them unexpectedly. Oh well I think I'll get back to slumping in my chair and feeling very sick :( .

It doesn't matter if those Cybermen get wiped out cos theres loads of 'true' cybermen in the universe right up to about the 30th century anyway.

And the Cybermen and Daleks are not going to team up. The Cybermen in the Doomsday trailer was just considering the Borg like assimilation of Dalek technology for their own means, so that they could 'upgrade' the universe.

And there are Daleks the Doctor can 'visit' right up until god knows when, close to the year 200,000. They could have loads of stories set during the Dalek Empire :)

Only just found this on the beeb web-site

Maybe they will take out some Daleks after all (since their incorporated weapons are useless)...

Yep, all of this should make for an amazing finale - Cybermen vs Daleks vs humans vs Cybermen! ;) :D

Looking forward to seeing what happens when the Cybermen and Daleks battle themselves, how the Doctor combats both of them, what exactly the Genesis Ark is, and of course, how Rose meets her end.

Well if you watch the trailer, its clear the Daleks slaughter the Cybermen, although I'm sure some of the Daleks will be taken out (see pic above). Also in the trailer you see Torchwood security fighting besides the Cybermen.

White text: And its a dead cert that the Genesis Ark is something to create new Daleks, or somehow bring some back.

I completely apologise. I thought you were taking advantage of my lack of Who knowledge.

*i haven't read any other posts just yet* I think the Genesis ark is just the magical ball ship. And I think there will be a difference of opinion.
Cybermen want to 'upgrade' everyone.
Daleks want to kill everyone, wipe the universe so they can control it. Personally I'd find that a boring thing to do, what would those Daleks do all day?

The Genesis Ark isn't the Void Sphere, its the floating piece of machinery the Daleks are protecting in the trailer for Doomsday.

The Daleks wouldn't kill everything in the universe, just kill a lot (lol) and enslave the rest. Thats the way they are, they're intergalactic nazis, nothing more to them.

White: Just seen some footage from Doctor Who Confidential and it had the blonde geordi guy from Rise Of The Cybermen/Age Of Steel fighting along side a Cyberman (with a gun from the pic above) against a dalek! The guns in the pics above are probably Cyberman made as they appear to connect to their wrists and they fire electricity.

At the end of the show there was a clip of a Cyberman (not the Cyber Leader) offering an alliance with a dalek. The evidence so far suggests the dalek blasts him to bits lol (this is why it isn't the Cyber Leader doing the negotiating).

This is all great then - the Doctor having to team up with the Cybermen to fight the Daleks! Betcha he'd never think he'd be in that situation!

So there were only 3 Daleks in the Void Ship - I assume that's it? (Until they activate the genesis Ark, I suppose...) It seems like even 3 Daleks should be able to be destroyed by the Doctor and an army of hundreds of Cybermen - they aren't that powerful... :p ;) :D

I thought four came out myself although I could be mistaken – certainly the credits for the show have about six Dalek operators credited so that could indicate we could see a lot more.

We're assuming the Genesis Ark can create more somehow, and there's also the possibility that there are more in the Sphere – it might even be dimensionally transcendental in a TARDISy way...

Yeah, I think you're right, there were probably 4...

Very cool ideas! Yeah, we'll have to see what happens... I'm especially intrigued to learn the specifics regarding the Genesis Ark...

Hmm... it looks interesting. Reckon you could fit a Davros in there?

I have friends who are always going "Do you think it's Davros?" with every dalek story! :p I don't think in a million years he'll be in there and I don't think they intend on using him anytime soon unfortuantely (would make a great story where they find him alone on some planet, where his escape pod landed after Remembrance Of The Daleks).

P.S. I think Cybermen use their eye sockets (with the teardrops) for getting the juicy goodness out of Jaffa Cakes.

I know – I reckon they should leave him out of it unless the story really warrants it. I read somewhere that it was at Terry Nation's insistence that he be included in Dalek stories in the 'classic' series. He was excellent in Genesis of The Daleks but after that any of the subtleties of the character were lost and he turned into a screeching megalomaniac.

The return of Davros could be an interesting story – making the Doctor face the creator of the species who contributed to the destruction of his people. The confrontation would have a little more spice added by the fact that the Doctor had the opportunity to kill Davros and prevent the Daleks from ever existing. I don't think it's Davros in the Ark though, I was just being a little mischievous. ;)
