I do push ups every morning before I start my day so I'm game...never really counted but I'm sure its over 60.

I did pushups, all types of variations to work specific parts -shoulders, triceps, chest, or altogether- and also by wearing my backpack filled with stuff and trying my best to do as many as possible.
... I didn't realise that there were such a high percentage of people who couldn't do 1 or 2 push-ups.
Both! I'm totally useless. Give me heavy(ish) weights in the gym and I'm fine. But a single push-up? Not a chance, not unless I'm on my knees![]()
This sounds like fun. I have stopped running, even though I was going to run all summer. Maybe I can do this, it takes less time.
I run every second day and do push ups on the other days.
1 minute ago I laid out on the floor by my couch and dropped 32 pushups (I impressed myself)...so my goal will be, say, 80 in one go? I've never done that before, so this might get interesting. I'll take a before pic tomorrow.
You're on Abstract![]()
I run on asphalt and I haven't had any internal organ problems but I have had some knee surgery. The great thing about having dodgy knees is that they act as a fuse so I'll probably never have bad hips or ankles.
I can do 10 normal pushups but more of the 'girly' kind. Does that count?
I'm embarrassed to say it, but 5.
I'm pretty heavy, so it's hard for me to do them.
By back to school (August 31st) I'd like to be able to do about 30.
This is a great thread.
There's really no need to be embarrassed at all. This thread is only about motivation. And building up the forearms is a lot more enjoyable than losing weight because you get really tangible results. If you're not used to it you will get really sore at first but only for a few days. It's a great feeling when that suddenly goes. There's no need to set too high a goal either because as long as you go to your limit you *will* see a result.
But I'll need an indication if you are in, because I don't want to railroad anyone.
