As for Germany-Marge and Tina, I think it will be a cracking game. 2-2 at 90mins and the Argies to win 3-2 after extra time.
 
I'd love to see Ukraine pull off the win as well, for two reasons - firstly, I always like cheering for the underdog, and secondly, I just don't like Italy. 😱 😉

Go Italy (I have Italian blood... and they're better looking 😉 )

Now watch Argentina and Ukraine go through... it's like a kiss of death! 😱
 
It's only just started and it already looks like another Portugal-Holland type match. I predict two sending offs.
 
And Argentina scores off the corner kick in the 50th minute! 😀 Ayala's header somehow splits the goalie and defender not four feet apart from each other.
 
That was a goal from nowhere. Pathetic dive in the penalty box from the Argies. The ref did well to give a yellow card.

Podolski wasted nearly all the free kicks and corners. What are the odds he misses his penalty kick and sends Germany out.?

Well, Maxi was two feet off the side of the box, but close enough. Schneider went down in the same spot in a similar manner on the other end and was awarded the free kick for his efforts. We call that "home cooking" over here. 🙂

I guess you'd have to fancy Germany in the shootout especially with the Argie b choice goalie, and Riquelme and Crespo off. Just don't let Podolski shoot.

All in all, germany played better through the game and deserved the victory.

Lehman will get the "hero" comments, although he saved two poor pens, the real winners were the OUTSTANDING german penalty takers... they are the heros..

some things don't change and as soon as it went to pens, germany had won.
