Hmmm I would still put Kanu's miss as the worst I've seen.

This from last season by Rosicky is a stunning miss too..

Thing with both of those is the ball is coming at them quite fast and they don't have that much time to react. Still no excuse, really. Kanu's was especially funny though, as he managed to spoon it over the bar. Hehe. :D

Thats the thing about Anelka's and Giggs' they both had time to think about it and place the ball, but still missed.

Never mind though, at the end of the day none of them are goals. ;)

As a Liverpool fan, it was sickening to watch Carragher and Reina collide, and with Anelka in front of an undefended goal you knew what was coming next...except it didn't. If Anelka had taken an extra quarter of a second to make sure of his touch it would have been equalizer...could have changed the outcome, though Liverpool's performance yesterday simply outclassed Bolton.

Not only because it is a sign of very bad communication but also because of Carra ribs which is the reason why he went off.

On a lighter side

Malouda attacks English football

Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has branded English football as "brainless" and rated players' diets as awful.

The 27-year-old, who signed from Lyon for £13m in the summer, said: "Training sessions are terrifying. They are maximum intensity, and you go flat out.

"During actual matches, it is as though everybody's brains are switched off. People play by instinct, how they did when they first discovered football."

He is amazed players can eat "whatever you like, drink Coke or anything".

I think someone has been watching John Terry play far too much and also I don't think Malouda should sit so close to Fat Frank when he eats ;);)

Yeah, somehow I can't see SAF letting United players eat 'whatever they want'

Phil Brown on the other hand... Shocking stuff Mr Cake.

Carlisle cruised to a 3-0 victory mind you, so not all bad.

I have to imagine that the FA knows that those were bad calls, but will not overturn the decisions in order to protect the authority of the refs on the pitch. Diof's foul was clearly a straight red, and could easily have broken Arbeloa's foot.

would be happy if he never played again. Don't mind hard tackles but he is just an out and out dirty s**t.

Just hope Keane doesn't take it out on Blues when we play spurs again, and by that I mean score a bloody hat-trick.

Wow, I can't believe Newcastle held the Gunners to a draw - even with the injuries Arsenal is winning games, and Newcastle has been just awful lately...maybe this is a turning point for Allardyce, who has to know he's perhaps a defeat or two from the sack.

i was very surpise when I heard the result, I expect to see Newcastle to have been destroyed. It is a point gained for Newcastle and two lost for Arsenal.

The funny thing is, I think Newcastle have a good starting 11. They just haven't been performing (before tonight) for some reason. I was expecting it to be 4-0 Arsenal, but the Magpies got up for this one.

Typical that the Newcastle turnaround has to start with a game against us..

Still, we were missing a lot of key players, so given the circumstances, the draw isn't too bad.

What the heck is wrong with the Reds today? It's Reading, bloody Reading. No offense to them, they're playing very well, but Arsenal, Man U or Chelsea could win this game or draw at worst. Rafa has conceded the game in order to win in Marsailles...what of all that "I'm going for the league this season" talk Rafa?

What kind of tactical change is replacing Carragher with Hyypia?

Rafa may have done some cynical substitutions, but with three strikers of the quality we have there's no excuse for the scoreline...if not for Stevie G's goal we'd have a clean sheet against us. Bah.

Reading 3 - 1 Liverpool. That is shocking. Also means Reading will go above Birmingham :( . Now waiting for Football first or Match of the day to see the Newcastle penalty that shouldn't have been and how the hell that dirty little git Barton got away with only a yellow.
