Plenty of giant-killing in the FA cup this weekend. Fingers crossed that Liverpool does not find themselves similarly afflicted.

Capello is attending the Luton-Liverpool match...which is odd, of all the players on the pitch only Crouch is an England international...

I'm sure Luton is fielding some English players.

Also, boo to Liverpool for not offering to give their share of the gate receipts to Luton, who could cease to exist very shortly.

Yeah, thats pretty bad of Liverpool, they have lost a lot of credibility in my mind there. Go on Luton, do them over and make my day :D

How's this for a dilemma? Suppose Luton go 1-0 up and there is 1 minute remaining. Now, do they deliberately give up a goal so they can get a money spinning replay at Anfield?

Ugh. 1-1 final. Credit to Luton for playing with skill and determination but Kuyt wasted clear chances. Benayoun also missed an open goal. Crouchy saved us the humiliation of losing to a League 1 team.

Of the starters, only Gerrard and Torres are perennial scoring threats...and neither played. Kuyt hasn't scored in ages and his presence in the starting 11 continues to be a travesty.

In a season where Rafa talked of title races he's on track to take us to fifth in the league, behind both teams from Manchester.

Newcastle survives to draw against mighty Stoke. Is it enough to keep the bloodthirsty off Allardyce?

Somebody forgot to tell the League 1 and Championship sides they're supposed to lose to Premiership teams. :D

Well, if it's any consolation, Birmingham didn't play any worse than the other Premier league teams (Arsenal and Man U excepted), they were simply unlucky.

I doubt we'll ever see it again, but what could be cooler than a team from outside the Premier League making it to the final?

Watching the game, I felt sorry for big Sam. His players looked like they'd only met each other 30 minutes before in the pub. Viduka has proved his money by being fat AND lazy, and the rest of the team were just lazy. If anyone else comes in, they'll find exactly the same thing. This "Geordie passion" (created by Kevin Keegan - not a geordie) is complete tosh - the whole team just needs a right royal kick up the arse.

It's happened a few times:

2004: Millwall (lost to Man U)
1992: Sunderland (lost to Liverpool)
1980: West Ham (beat Arsenal)
1976: Southampton (beat Man U)
1975: Fulham (lost to West Ham)
1973: Sunderland (beat Leeds U)

There are more, these are just the last half dozen.

Yes indeed Liverpool were very poor.

I don't think Crouch did too much more than Kuyt to be honest, but he did score and so I'll won't say anything more.

Also, did anyone see the PowerBook/MacBook Pro being passed in the crowd? I think it was either late first half or second half. You could distinctly see the bright Apple logo. I actually rewound to check it:p This was on ESPN's coverage with commentary by Tommy Smith. Its the best I can do for the FA Cup.

He's quite a big fella..little bit of a belly there?

Parkin's a talented player when he wants to be. Unfortunately, towards the end of his time with us he decided he fancied a move and just went through the motions until he got the transfer to Stoke he wanted. He also had a lot of problems with his weight, not sticking to the diet worked out for him and that sort of stuff – ultimately his attitude wasn't exactly what you'd call professional.

Shortly after he left, one of the local bakeries went out of business. That can't be coincidence.
