Joey Barton now available to play after his bail conditions were changed (again).

Kevin Keegan said:
"Common sense has prevailed and it's a major plus for us," Keegan said. "We are very low with numbers at the minute and I'd have no problems with bringing him on.

"He's worked very hard in training. It's not been a good time for him but we can turn this into a positive."

Keegan makes him sound like a victim, instead of the thug he is...I think the two-footed tackle rule should be suspended with regards to tackles made on Joey Barton. :rolleyes:

Come on Arsenal, this one is more important than the weekend, need to keep up the pressure in the league. Sagna and Almunia back in.

I found it amazing that 'King Kev' didn't know what was going on with Dennis Wise (Did anyone see the News Conference?) he just directed all of the questions to Chris Mort... Crazy.
Yep, I saw that too. Still, King Kev put his surprise behind him to welcome Dennis to St James' Park earlier today.

Wise is reported to have commented his new position was 'fandabidozi'.

Well what can I say about Birmingham's performance last night...

  1. There is a full blown hunt going on at the moment to find our defence.
  2. In all future games, the ball will be replaced with a beach ball, they are much more fun to watch if all you are going to do is boot the ball as hard and as far as you can.
  3. Rafael Schmitz will be put on a rack and stretched until his at least tall enough head a ball.
  4. Police will investigate to see if Liam Ridgewell is really a Villa player, if he's not then will be given special training on how to boot the ball as hard and as far as he can and not do stupid little headers back to the goal keeper.

Got to say we really sucked last night.

I know the feeling. Carlisle we're beaten away from home again last night, thats 5 away losses in a row, disappointing. It's a good job we've won 9 on the bounce at home.

Big day of Football today! Too bad I'll be at work :mad:

C'mon you Red men.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Spurs victory today either...

It's a long shot, but I'm hoping to see Portsmouth draw with Man U...

Liverpool needs to get their act together...I'm predicting a 1-1 draw against West Ham but it should be 3-1 Liverpool.

that is just sick, doesn't matter if you are a Man Utd. fan or not, you just don't do that.

Totally classless.

Didn't really expect to see that....but SWP has been a bit erratic this season. So was this Dennis Wise's decision or Keegans? ;):D

In England news, tomorrow we find out whether Golden Balls gets his 100th cap testimonial or a boot in the arse. I suspect Capello will play him as a political move, even if there are a handful of English wingers who can outrun, out-dribble and out-tackle him. And who will be captain? Terry is hurt and a thug anyway, Gerrard (as much as I want him to be captain) is not playing that well...

Trouble at mill in Carlisle

Super Joe Garner is a target of Bristol City according to the local rag down here.

Although talking about classless putting AIGs logo on there, it is not something that should be sponsored, poor form.

It's true. Even if AIG sponsored the poster they should have their logo in a separate, more discreet place, if they put their logo on it at all...to me the logo screams

<exaggerated American sales pitch accent>THIS MEMORIAL BROUGHT TO YOU BY AIG...AIG: CALL TODAY FOR ALL YOUR INSURANCE NEEDS!
</exaggerated American sales pitch accent>

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Of course, thet by no means excuses what those ******* vandals did.

I would have thought Barcelona or Inter would have been a more obvious destination for a man of Super Joe Garner's undisputed talents. :)

Agreed. Completely unnecessary, although I do agree with those who say the sponsors logo should have been omitted – the fact that it's an insurance company on a poster commemorating an air crash seems especially crass. No justification for what happened though.

Ronaldo's free-scoring run remind me of Stuart Elliott, who scored 29 goals in a season for us a few years back, despite playing in midfield and missing six weeks through injury. Unfortunately, the God-fearing goal-botherer hasn't hit such heady heights since then. :eek:

There you go, Ronaldo is the new Stuart Elliott. You heard it here first.
