There was definitly soul in the Chelsea game. Did you not see the effort Masch, Skrtel, Carra put in?

Let's not bring up that Portsmouth game.;)

I only saw a few clips of the game an watched the live text update to be fair. But from what I saw and heard Gerrard was pretty quiet for much of the game, Kuyt was invisible and Crouch was earnest but rusty. Mascherano got a lot of praise, Carra made a few good plays and I heard little about Skrtel - but it's good to hear that he's helping Carragher anchor the defense.

But I can't get past our inability to score...Crouchy should have put at least one, probably two of those chance in the back of the net.

Gerrard was pretty happy with the performance after the game, according to his interview, but what I saw wasn't great.

Well that was a shock. Taking of Babel for Kewell

With the way that the draw went I thought we had a really good chance of winning the FA cup this year and with the way our season has gone it was needed.

Such a blow and now they need to pick themselves up for Inter and concentrate on getting 4th.

The pain of being a Liverpool fan continues.

EDIT: Wow, what a rout...I never expected 4 goals in the Manchester United/Arsenal game, especially all coming from the same side!

I think it is more of a case of Arsenal poor, Barnsley would've beaten them and buy more than one late goal.

After all Fletcher got two.

Speaking of which, JC I notice your team is suffering from drawitis recently. Plus, you have a tough game next weekend.
We perform excellently against the better teams in the division, but not so well against the poorer sides. Such is the Hull City way.

Still, it means we're liable to play like Brazil next weekend. Just as long as it's not like Alan Brazil.

man u has been playing fairly well of late and add to the fact that arse has few injuries... not to big a surprise result...

barnsley winning is what is great about this cup.

Because we weren't awesome. Just like you haven't said Liverpool! Awesome! for most of the season, eh.

You weren't awesome yesterday either, we were just ****. Pretty much about all there is to it. Full backs were diabolical.

We'll be back, we'll be back, we'll be back to win the league!

At least hopefully we will have all the motivation we need when we return in April. I will be very happy if we get a result then.. would happy trade it yesterday for a result there!

David James is red-hot these days...I think it's clear who England's number 1 should be. He may not necessarily be the future but he is certainly the present.

It looks as though United are set for another FA Cup final with Chelsea, unless one of the Championship sides has another giant-killing performance. I'm still hoping the cup is not won by a Premier League side, even if it's a vain hope....

I'm hoping the quarter-final draw ends up with Chelsea facing Manchester United, so we'd at least see one of those sides knocked out.

All in all, I'd be happy to see a Portsmouth or a Middlesbrough win the cup – just as long as it's not one of the bloody 'big four' again...

Five of the nine teams left in the FA Cup are non-Premiership.

I fancy Pompey for this one, and yes a Man U vs Chelsea quarter final would go down well.

And as for a real dark horse to reach the final....

West Brom, they looked very good against Coventry (sacking Dowie worked well eh!).

Sheffield United or Middlesbrough v Cardiff City
Manchester United v Portsmouth
Bristol Rovers v West Brom (Why not. :D)
Barnsley v Chelsea

Remaining Top Flight teams in Bold. Tie Winners (IMO) underlined.

That'll do for me. It'll be the 11th time in a row that Manchester United have played Top Flight opposition in the FA Cup.

If you are correct in your predictions, be nice to see Man Utd get Chelsea in the Semi-final so at least a non-premiership team makes it to Wembley.
