I think we'll see Liverpoor beaten again this evening, at the hands of Inter Milan. 2-0 to the visiting side, only for Liverpoor to win 3-1 in Milan.

In news that people care about,

Members of fans' website MyFootballClub will formally complete the takeover of Blue Square Premier side Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday.

In January more than 18,000 members voted on the £635,000 takeover, with 95.8% backing the Kent club's purchase.

I still think this is amazing. What must be going through the managers head...

Also, more woes for Rotherham.

Rotherham say they will go into administration unless a major injection of cash is secured in the near future.

The club have filed notice to appoint an administrator and, unless the financial picture improves, will be docked 10 points as they were in 2006.

Paul and Barry will be up in arms. Docked another 10 points though if it happens, thats just harsh.

I see us losing 1-0 today with a dour 1-1 draw on the return leg, with the Milan goal coming off a penalty :(

I really hope I'm wrong, and that Liverpool at least make it to the final this year and finish 4th in the league <prays>.

While it's a cool concept, how does a manager manage when he can't select his own team? he's essentially a puppet for a bunch of armchair gaffers.

Sheffield United or Middlesbrough v Cardiff City
Manchester United v Portsmouth
Bristol Rovers v West Brom (Why not. :D)
Barnsley v Chelsea

Remaining Top Flight teams in Bold. Tie Winners (IMO) underlined.

That'll do for me. It'll be the 11th time in a row that Manchester United have played Top Flight opposition in the FA Cup.

How many home ties have United got this season in the FA Cup..

Less than a week after Bournemouth suffered a similar fate, of course. And as this goes on and more and more clubs find themselves in financial trouble the richest ones only get richer.

I don't know how much the Rotherham are in debt to the tune of, but I'd like to see how the figure compares against the weekly wage bill of an average Premier League club...

Take any of the "top four" and you could bankroll a handful of clubs and have cash to spare.

...Looks like Benitez is starting with a 4-3-3 formation. Lets hope for a quick opener from the Reds.

EDIT: Inter are down to 10 men and look set to put them all behind the ball...gah.

I think the ref was a little hasty to send mata off, he would've got himself sent off soon enough anyway.

2 in 2 for kuyt more than a little lucky with the deflection

Gerrards goal was class. Pleased with the result but still some work to do.

The chelsea game lokoked a little dull but they did what was needed

Roma 2 - 1 Real Madrid
8' 0 - 1 Raúl
24' David Pizarro 1
58' Alessandro Mancini 2

Liverpool 2 - 0 Inter Milan
30' Marco Materazzi(red card)
85' Dirk Kuyt 1
90' Steven Gerrard 2

Olympiacos 0 - 0 Chelsea

Schalke 04 1 - 0 FC Porto
4' Kevin Kuranyi 1

The red card against Materazzi was sketchy, but Liverpool should have had a penalty with Vieira's handball in the box...so they got away with one there.

Pleased (and surpsrised) with the result at Anfield but was hoping that Real Madrid would beat Roma.

The Ebbsfleet experiment as I like to think of it is really interesting and would like to see how this develops long term. However I do not think it is the way forward for the major clubs at this stage, e.g Liverpool.

I saw a really interesting stub on the BBC about the whole Rafa saga at the moment. A worthwhile read.

Gerrards goal was class I could watch that over and over again.
