The book's tagline should therefore read From R.Youden's back garden to the Premiership. Marvellous. :)
and back again.

Well done to Carlisle for the 1 nil win over Forrest. To be fair, Forrest had loads of chances and Holt hit the bar in the last minutes. The Carlisle keeper also had a very good game.

He was a good laugh, a bit mental at times. He used to practice in their garden but the number of times he missed and the ball came into our garden was silly. I am glad he improved pretty quickly!

and back again.

Nah, we have moved now, he doesn't have the intelligence to work out where we are now!

I also used to be taught by one of his old football coaches (he was also a maths teacher, I / am crap at football!) and he said that Deano could never work out which boot went on which foot.

Hopefully he will be back in contention for tomorrows game or S****horpe at least, we really didn't have any attacking options on the bench last Saturday.

Rumour is that Brown will be fielding an unchanged side against Burnley tomorrow – I'm not surprised about Windass missing out following his little op, but I'll be amazed if Turner isn't recalled following his suspension.

I agree, Clement was OK, at fault for the first goal but looked Ok after that, he did let the ball bounce too much though. When WBA got into the premiership people said that Clement was on verge of the England team, didn't look that good on Saturday, but a good backup on the bench.

Happy Days. :D We played so well, I hope someone has recorded the Sky Program, want to watch that.

Englands Number One Keiren Westwood is a match-winner, and he got the plaudits from the Gaffer a few weeks back, well he did it again tonight, in top form.

(Shame I don't have a widescreen monitor, I love that second photo, having to use a 5:4 version and it's not quite as amazing)

how do you guys feel about the possible russian involvement in the takeover of Wednesday?

I fear that it is inevitable. Football is now just a big toy for the rich and famous. My only concern is what will happen when the bubble bursts? One day all of this money will run out and they will loose interest, it is very worrying for the fans of these clubs.

In other news it appears Hull City have been had by Jay-Jay as he has announced his intention to retire at the end of the season. So it looks like we where just one last pay-day, especially as he didn't play for the good end of 3 months over Christmas. Lets hope his last game is a play-off final victory at Wembly.

Lampard's red card was receded.

I hope Crouch signs his new deal

Eagerly waiting the news

Reds owners get Dubai ultimatum said:
Liverpool's owners have been given a £400m take-it-or-leave-it offer from Dubai International Capital to buy the club, BBC Sport understands.

Markleshark love that second picture.

In regards to takeovers what do you think will happen if Chelsea don't win anything this year, will grant be forced out by the fans. Afterall there was early signs of a backlash after the cup the other week. If Grant goes do you think Roman will too.

Thanks xUKHCx, first outing for my new camera and it's great.

Wait a second, the russians are taking over Wednesday? I think we should make a move for Saturday then, national football day... Oh, no, wait. Not that Wednesday... :D

It looks like DIC has made a 400-million pound offer to Hicks and Gillette...in the past the xenophobic scousers have come out against both Americans and Arabs as potential owners...So which do they hate less?

But Hicks and Gillette are a couple of charlatans, and they should sell the club and get out while the getting is good - at this point they've waffled about so much and been excoriated by the press to the extent that even a Champions League trophy won't quiet calls by the scousers for them to leave.

lol.

as an american, i do fear it. i hate to see the EPL and her lower division sides go into the hands of foreigners.

Wow...Arsenal really pulled it together and beat AC Milan at the San Siro. That says something about the quality of Wnger's men, whatever their recent form has been.

Lyon and Celtic both out. :(

Fenerbahce are still in it, taking the game to extra time...I want to see them win on penalties.

good match. they won late. i was for milan though...

yeah. i felt like arse was going to get one to drop. the play was fairly even for the most part but i felt like arse kept the pressure up and had just missed. fabregas' goal blew me away...i still can't believe he got that.... the next goal was nice as well...

Watched the Arsenal game and they out classed AC. AC have been in a bit of a down turn in form recently and their team is a little on the veteran side. The right result on the night. Theo should never have been able to get to that ball but the way he rode the challenge and put an amazing cross through was brilliant.

I'd not heard anything about that, I've just read about it on the BBC after seeing your post. He says 'who knows what'll happen' this summer – I suppose if we do manage to overcome the odds and get promoted then he might decide to stay on for another season, as players often do. We'll see. ;)

Anyway, Jay-Jay will have a chance to put his feet up after tonight's game – a three match suspension following his straight red card. Well done Mr M Riley (West Yorkshire) – I've never seen four red cards in one game before, so thanks for spoiling what had been an excellent match.

A great night for the Gunners. Good to see them doing well, maybe the dark horses in the competition?

From the sublime to the ridiculous, Mike Riley, Premiership referee at Hull City Vs Burnley. 4 players sent off, Jay Jay Sent off for shrugging his shoulders after a player he tackled was booked for diving? How the hell does that work. Just because a Premiership referee doesn't get paid as much for doing a Championship game doesn't mean he has to be inept!

If that's the standard of refereeing in the Greatest League In The World™, then maybe we'd better hope we don't get promoted otherwise we'll be treated to that sort of thing every week.

The Okocha sending off took place right in front of my seat – he was shoved by the Burnley player, he did shove him back (either on the shoulder or the side of the head, I couldn't say with 100% certainty which), after which Mr Burnley went down like we had a sniper up in the West Stand upper tier. At this point Mr M Riley (West Yorkshire) approached and I feared the worst.

The thing is, the linesman was directly in front of them – and I mean, directly in front. Surely if he'd have seen an offence take place then he'd have waved his little flag to alert our intrepid man-in-the-middle? But he didn't... so did that mean he didn't see the alleged offence? And then Mr M Riley (West Yorkshire) walked over to consult the linesman, clearly he hadn't seen what happened either so he needed the advice of his assistant. So if the two of them didn't see enough to take action by themselves, how did they they contrive to send him off for an offence neither of them apparently hadn't seen?

Bafflement was soon replaced by amusement once the stricken Burnley player spotted the physio approaching. Realising that if he received treatment he'd have to leave the pitch – thus depriving his already depleted team of yet another player – he stopped his rolling around and leapt to his feet, ready for action once more. :D

I didn't see what what happened with Folan's red card, though. The worrying thing now is that both these players will miss the next three games – I think Sammy Ricketts has a one match ban looming too? – and we've got another six games left to play this month. Blimey.
