Mm, good isn't it! I've applied for tickets in the ballot, but it is always so oversubscribed..

I was going to go to Greece last year and had arrange transport, tickets etc. However the total cost was just shy of £2000 all in and that is way way over my budget. Was thinking about this year but the visa thing is a major put off. Will probably just go across to Liverpool again (if we make it to the final.) If not then will stay in Sheffield.

I won't be able to get a ticket if we make it, so it's not really a decision I'll be able to make! Went to Paris 2006 though. I have a Physics exam the next morning too :) Still, don't want to curse it - stop talking about it!

According to the website of Russian Embassy in London, it is possible to get a tourist visa in a week, or even the same day.

Tourist visa should be OK for the purposes of the Champions League final, as long as you don't plan on leaving Moscow. It is still impossible to freely travel between cities.

Tottenham 4 - 4 Chelsea
3' 1 Didier Drogba
12' Jonathan Woodgate 1
20' 2 Michael Essien
52' 3 Joe Cole
61' Dimitar Berbatov 2
75' Tom Huddlestone 3

80' 4 Joe Cole
88' Robbie Keane 4

So who do people will win the premiership? Logically Chelsea have the most advantage with home games and Arsenal have the least advantage with two BIG away games and as for Man U, it doesn't matter either way

Its too hard to call but i have just have an itsy bitsy feeling Chelsea might steal it. Its the season of upsets/impossible's this year.

Upsets and impossibilities there may be, but one thing is as certain today as it was last August – only one team out of three will win the title. ;)

Personally, I think Manchester United will prove too strong and go on to retain it.

I think that Man Utd will have it this year, i do agree about chelsea maybe taking it at last minute.

But dont count Arsenal out just yet

That would be quite the story for Arsenal to beat Man U & Chelsea at home, beat Liverpool at the emirates and then go on to take the title. Its just too hard a mountain to climb.

Man U is definitely strong enough to retain pole position, Chelsea have the advantage and Arsenal might believe they can do the impossible especially after Milan.

Its the most interesting title race yet

I heard that to get into Russia you need a visa, and you have to apply at least a month in advance to get said visa, whilst the semi-finals are only three weeks before the final. Therefore if you want to go you have to apply, and pay for, a visa before your team has even played the semi-final. Nice one UEFA!

Yep, I've heard that it is pretty difficult to get Russian visa... Never have an experience of getting it and I guess I would never have as I am Russian.. :)
Maybe someone has such experience?
I really want to visit Moscow final (Russia will have 5500 tickets on this match) whoever would play there but it is going to be too expensive for me...

Yet another reason why football needs to sort itself out pretty damn quickly:

Linky

Why do people at the FA have no common sense?

England Squad for the 26th:

GK:
James (Portsmouth)
Carson (Aston Villa)
Kirkland (Wigan)

Defenders:
Bridge (Chelsea)
A Cole (Chelsea)
Johnson (Portsmouth)
Terry (Chelsea)
Brown (Man Utd)
Lescott (Everton)
Ferdinand (Man Utd)
Wheater (Middlesbrough)
Woodgate (Tottenham)
Upson (West Ham)

Midfielders:
Barry (Aston Villa)
Young (Aston Villa)
Bentley (Blackburn)
J Cole (Chelsea)
Lampard (Chelsea)
Wright-Phillips (Chelsea)
Beckham (Los Angeles Galaxy)
Gerrard (Liverpool)
Hargreaves (Man Utd)
Downing (Middlesbrough)
Jenas (Tottenham)

Strikers:
Walcott (Arsenal)
Agbonlahor (Aston Villa)
Crouch (Liverpool)
Rooney (Man Utd)
Owen (Newcastle)
Defoe (Portsmouth)

Looks a good squad. I hope Agbonlahor gets a chance, along with Downing who I think could get the solution to our left sided problem. I don't care what anyone says, Joe Cole is not a left sided midfielder.

The team I would like to see:

James

Brown (on RB in squad!) -- Terry -- Ferdinand -- Bridge

Gerrard (holding midfielder)

Beckham -- Downing (wingers)

Joe Cole -- Rooney (supporting striker)

Owen

I suppose that is a 4-5-1 when defending and a 4-3-3 when attacking.

I think I'm being ignored because I'm a Jock.

How does that leave FA cup final or F1? Shall we be spraying fruit juice out of plastic containers?

Could be because you are a Jock :D

Is it a Scottish law or a British law? never heard of this happening before. And what about all those bottles of wine in the director's box/corporate box?

I'd like to see Agbonlahor get some real playing time on the national team.

Terry should not be captain after that shameful display against Spurs (the latest in a career full of them) - he's the leader of a mob, a thug, nothing more. I would give it Gerrard or Ferdinand. Wes Brown was poor last time out, but he's young yet.

I expect the USA will get pummeled when we play England, but I'd love to see Clint Dempsey or Freddy Adu to put one past the Lions. :D The more we go abroad against quality opposition, the better we will get.

I thought it was all of Britain but a quick search off Google showed me otherwise, it was Scotland only after the 1980 Scottish Cup final at Hampden when the Old Firm fans ran amok. Wine etc is served to those who are privileged, but it has to be cleared away before kick-off until the final whistle. What's the situation in England, can you get a pie, Bovril and pint?

And in this evening's news...
ITV wins Champions League rights
