YOU LUCKY B*STARD!!!!!!

Aargghhhhh!!!

Oh, man.... you just enjoy yourself mate!!!
Well done.

I'll be at Highbury coming Saturday, and 3 weeks after that too against the Spurs. Will be a big game that one!
BTW.... Tottenham are trailing! He he :)

Thanks, and.... sorry

I'm at Highbury for Arsenal Tottenham too! :)

Meanwhile, the wisdom of Didier Drogba.

In a post-match interview with the BBC, the cheeky fella admitted to not only using his hands to score against Manchester City at the weekend, but also to routinely diving and feigning injury to fool referees. He backtracked quicker than the Hull City back four (and about as convincingly) and retracted his statement, but it remains to be seen if he will face FA charges for his comments.

Can you say 'game' and 'disrepute'?

Chelsea on the whole has an attitude problem.

No-one talks positively about them. Not even over here in football-chauvinistic Holland do they talk positive about Dutch pride Robben...

Wow, thanks for that link. Astonishing!

YESSSSS!!!!

2-0!!

What an excellent win. Played superbly well, especially Fabregas. What a talent!

As an American, I'm admittedly not very in-tune to football here in Europe (I caught an AC Milan game last year and watched Shevchenko score a couple of goals, turned to a friend and said "hey this guy's pretty good", only to be told he was footballer of the year). Having said that, if pressed for a favorite team I'd have to say Arsenal since I'm a fan of Henry. So I thoroughly enjoyed the win against Juve last night.

I hope the long-time Gunners fans don't mind an American joining the well-wishers , and I'll keep cheering on through the CL series (and hoping Arsenal qualify 4th or better in the Premiership).

Cheers

Alright all

What about Jim Gannon's Blue and White Army then? Good aren't they.

Much better than Chris Turner's Blue and White Army anyways.

Welcome! :) Nice to see a new face in here. :D

Careful you don't strain your neck from looking over your shoulder. You're only four points clear of the drop, don't forget, with a worse goal difference than most of the teams around you... ;)

But compare the situation to the one at Christmas, when we were 5 points adrift at the bottom of the table and had just lost 6-0 to Macclesfield, and you can see why I'm optimistic. From the last six games our form is second only to Carlisle, who without any doubt will be promoted as Champions come May.

Besides, there are worse teams than us down in the bottom pack. Rubbish and Dustbins are definitely down, then it's either Chester (despite their mini-revival last night, people will be wiser against them now) or Barnet. I think Torquay and Bury will both pull it around, although Bury will be losing this Saturday

I wonder whether I should start a League 2 thread. Honourary membership to MK Dons fans :D

You could, although to be honest I don't think there would be too much of a demand for one! ;)

There does tend to be a bit of non-Premier League discussion in this thread – generally cups and the Champions League, and us non-topflighters manage to get a word in every now and then. You have to feel sorry for fans of the English top flight, though – they don't get to compete in the greatest cup competition in the land, the mighty LDV Vans Trophy. There's nothing like spending a drizzly Tuesday evening seeing your team slump out of the competition against Sc*nthorpe... :D

Maybe it did get edited, but I've always found it appropriate :D

Hahaha... :)

Its odd, I get so used to whenever Arsenal win, it being on the back pages... :D

Nah, the Championship mate, that's where the proper football's at... ;) :D none of this overpaid, prima donna, falling over like fairies stuff that you get in the Premiership. ;)

Buy that man a beer. :)

I only speak the truth though... :D look at Chelsea, they're going that one step further with their strikers seemingly trying to turn it into netball, they'll be wearing those pleated skirts too soon.
