Hell yeah! That 5-0 over Villa was SUPERB to be at!! :D

But....

Lost at Old Trafford again. Must admit Man Ure were up to it.
Rooney is going to be one force to reckon with this summer!

We still have a chance. Gotta win at Portsmouth, and win the BIG-ONE!!!
The game v.s Tott'nham at home... and guess what..... I'LL BE THERE!!!

Long time ago since Tottenham really stood in our way.... :p
Bit like old times, really. :)

Frightful result for the Gunners today, likely ending their chances at the top 4. Man U (and Rooney in particular) were just too good today. Hats off.

Silvestre played a blinder and rooney again was all over the pitch, pitching in, he's not a slacker!

Should have been a hand ball but overall im happy with the mighty red's performance, awesome game.

Utd / Arsenal games are always very pumped up.

I thought this game was particularly devoid of the usual bickering, bar a few minor flash points.

After the first 15 mins, Arsenal just looked weary and seemed to lack any commitment. It was hard to tell if Fabregas was even playing.

Overall a good result, just a shame West Ham suffered a spectacular collapse. Would have made for an interesting run in.

We mathematically can get the fourth spot, no matter what the others do. What an odd decision to choose that game to rest Henry.. and Adebayor.. you really are **** sometimes.

I got my Arsenal Villarreal semi final tickets for April 19th this morning. :)

And a goal too – given his apparent financial woes I hope he's on a decent goal bonus. :D

I think his wages will more than cover that ;)

Easier said than done of course. The derby really will be a cracker!

Well, Henry hardly has a stellar record at Old Trafford ;) And I thought mini-Kanu did well. He was deceptively quick and caused a few problems. I've been impressed with how quickly he's adapted to the English game (4 goals and 3 assists in 9 games I think)

I can't see Arsenal missing out on 4th place, and I say that as a Spurs fan.

Arsenal have an easy run-in now bar the North London derby and I'd be very surprised if Spurs come away from Highbury with more than a point. The only thing going against Arsenal at the moment is a fixture pile-up.

In the first half I watched, it was him who was having the bad slow touches. I've seen him in person many times, and yes, he is quick, but I didn't think we was the right choice on Sunday.

To look forward to, I have: Arsenal vs. Villarreal: Champions League Semi-Final; Arsenal vs. Tottenham: Second last game ever at Highbury; Arsenal vs. Wigan: Last ever game at Highbury.

If we win all of those, we are in good shape.

I am happy just with my ticket for the Tottenham game.... :)

I envy you, XIII!!

Gonna be alot of tears against Wigan. Going to miss Highbury... :(
BTW.. whou would have thought that Arsenal's last premiership home game at Higbury would be against Wigan...? :p

Robert Pires' departure

So what do the Arsenal fans here think of Pires' chances he'll sign with Villareal in the summertime? I saw in the paper last week that he's 'decided', although I'm not sure how seriously to take it.

Edit:
Here's the link: sorry it's in French. But, it basically says he's signed a two-year deal.

Haha, I read that too.

It will be a sad day when/if Bobby leaves. I remember when they were all bowing to him after we won the Premiership in 2002 (I think)... Anyone else remember?

I'm pretty sure Bobby will be gone. He obviously wants more than a one year contract and you guys steadfastly refuse to give it to him. But hey, if it's good enough for Dennis...

How confident are Arsenal fans of Terry Henry staying?

Could we see Henry, like Gerrard, only staying at Arsenal IF they win the Champions League?

I think the deciding factor will be whether Arsenal is playing Champions League next year or not.

I know this isn't England, but...

for those of you looking for a good football match tonight, Lyon-Marseille are playing right now in the quarters of the French league finals. Just underway. Should be a good match.

Not on English TV (not channels I have at least). I'll try and download some highlights. :) Let me know how it goes/went.

Well, it turned out to be a very nice match, with Marseilles coming through in the end. Lyon blew an easy chance in stoppage time. Barthez tried to give it away, but was spared the embarrassment. PSG won a nice match earlier as well to make it to the semis.
