Do people really care about Ferguson's opinion on everything? I can't tell if he's a media whore or they just record every single thing he says every hour of the day.

He's just a cranky old man. I don't think he's ever admitted that any foul, penalty or card against his team was deserved. His achievements are beyond question but his sportsmanship is a doubt at times.

I see that Ferguson is shooting his mouth off about the "futile" international friendlies.
His comments about international teams 'wasting time' playing 'futile' friendlies during the season might carry more weight had he not taken his team out to Saudi Arabia this January (in the middle of the season, don't forget) to play in a money-spinning friendly.

Just saying, like.

Half time around the country and one scoreline stands out from the others

Bolton 2-0 Arsenal

Arsenal are also down to 10 as Abou Diaby was sent off.

As the results currently stand Derby are relegated.

Bolton 2-0 Arsenal

I know Arsenal have been off form lately, but this is still a shocker...Bolton?

As things stand Man U can nearly call the engraver...Chelsea are snapping at their heels but the only thing that will change things now are some major dropped points by United.

Will, Arsenal fan, via text on 81111

:D I'm sure Diaby's horror tackle will dredge up the whole Eduardo thing again, and Wenger is gonna get raked over the coals.

A howler from Rob Styles

Now where have I heard that before ;)

A howler from Rob Styles. An absolute stonewall howler. Franck Quedrue hauls down Benjani in the area - but Styles shows the red card to Radhi Jaidi. His linesman eventually sets Styles straight and Franck Quedrue is sent off.

what a plonker

Birmingham are now up 3-1 on yet another dodgy Rob Styles penalty call.

Arsenal are level with a penalty - you have to think they'll find a winner.

Lots of penalties today.

Bolton 2-3 Arsenal

Didn't see that happening at half time but then again it is still Bolton.

Goodnight and goodbye Derby. Someone has to make way for Watford (or Hull seeing as they won 3-0)

They only need 5 more points to avoid the embarrassing record of lowest points in a season (currently Sunderland 05/06), but 5 points will be a major struggle for them.

Also... Jamo saved another penalty. If only the same could have happened in France too.

It would have been nice, but England didn't score so James shouldn't take too much blame.

Man U are already up with a fancy backheeled goal from Ronaldo.

1809: Here's Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: "It was a real mental test today. It looked like everything was going against us, but I am very proud of the team because they gave absolutely everything. I have no complaints about the red card. I feel it was not an aggressive desire - but it was a fraction high."

Oh my God - not only is Wenger admitting to have seen a foul committed by one of his players, he is also admitting it was the proper call? What's next, Ferguson agreeing with referees?!? Surely not.

The Man City penalty was a little dodgy, but as he gave it he had to send Quedrue off. But I feel sorry for Styles, Quedrue and Jaidi do look alike

However, the penalty he gave us was never a penalty, but I guess you take em when you get em.

Blimey – Newcastle United are 4-1 winners over hapless Tottenham. Mr Keegan might be looking a little less stressed now. :p

looks like the media will have to sharpen their knives for some other club for the moment.

Keegan, Keegan.

I'm not surprised that Spurs leaked goals, they've been doing it all season...but for Newcastle to score four is rather an event. If Newcastle wanted some momentum they have it now.

Liverpool controlled the match against Everton but were wasteful in their finishing. Gerrard's volley was very close, Kuyt and Babel could each have bagged a goal. Liverpool are good at holding on to a lead but against Everton it would have been wise to try and get more of a cushion IMO. Three points is three points, of course.

avoiding relegation one point at a time... maybe...
Hold your horses a moment – it looks like Wednesday might be in a spot of bother. It seems the Owls named six on-loan players in their Tiger-pleasing draw against Stoke City, Football League rules though state only five members of the 16 man squad can be loanees.

The punishment could include a fine or possibly being docked the point they earned through the draw. Worryingly, Stoke could be awarded (and are apparently appealing for) the full three points for the match, an outcome that may have a bearing on our own promotion hopes.

Bloody hell, pachyderm – can't your lot count?

Stoke a desperate!

daily mail link

Shola Ameobi loan fee of £500,000 & £25,000 per week in wages for 6 weeks work, plus for £500,000 bonus loan fee if Stoke are promoted.

His touch is so poor he usually traps a ball further than I can kick a ball!

yep, Tigers are on fire!

said on here a while back I thought Hull would make the play-offs, hah promotion as champions more like!!!! – good luck.
