Uriah ******. Uriah chuffing ******. Once again, my nemesis returns to haunt me.

that picture + quote makes it looks as if it is you being escorted off by the stewards :D

National pride dictates that I must take you to task on your lack of support for home nations, but yeah you are probably right...
George Burley's first game in charge.

It's not about support it is about who I think will win, otherwise the list would have been widely different ;)

And can you guys stop changing your avatars, you are really confusing me!

reminds me I need to change mind back again.

Is that you being led way by the marshals?

No, you're both wrong – you'll note Mr ****** (South Yorkshire) is wearing a Premier League patch in that picture. Clearly that isn't me being led away, as I don't go to Premier League games.

Not yet, anyway. ;)

Footie online

Anybody know where I can watch Scotland v Croatia online on my Mac. All the sites I have found are PC only. Thanks.

Perhaps, but it's Croatia! A few scores to be settled there. I think you need an injection of Scottish against-the-odds optimism :p

Aaaargh! You've just did it twice in the last hour (although a welcome return of the skull, haven't seen it for a few months.) It's just because I'm lazy and don't read your names. You, Markleshark and Jaffa have all been tweaking in the last couple of days. I would have got mine ages ago if I'd devoted my time to Mac forums rather than community discussion.

Highlights are on BBC 1 at 11.10pm so there is a chance the game will be on Sport Scotland website linky.
What are these PC only websites you are talking about?

There are some sites out there that stream live TV. Therefore if a game is on Sky then someone will stream it with a 2-3 minute delay. So somewhere the Scotland game will be shown live and streamed. Don't think this is very legal!

I remember trying to watch L**ds Vs Hull a few years ago. The quality was very poor, it would have been easier to get someone on a 3G phone and watch the game that way.

Anyway, not sure why they would be PC only.

On the Uriah ****** thing, I remember a few years ago he was voted the best ref in the country! Either he has go a lot worse or it says a lot about the general standard of reffing in the English leagues.

Just think, it could be worse:

I looks as if he has had all of his knee and elbow joints fused together!

I don't think Mr M Riley (West Yorkshire) will be showing his face in the East Riding (or the Burnley area, for that matter) for a while just yet. ;)

Very true. The thing with a good ref is he needs to be imposing and make a statement to the players. Mike Riley looks like he has a constant cold (not that it did Schmeichel any harm) and wants to be excused to go to the toilet.

Not really. We're not actually that good, see.

Fret not, there's plenty of time for us to blow it yet. And even if we do manage to go up, I'm sure Carlisle won't be far behind us once Super Joey Garner is rebuilt by science. Besides, we can meet up in foreign climes before the Hull City/Carlisle United 2012 Champions League final. :)

And yes, Leeds are awful in every conceivable way. Dirty Leeds.

Yup, Carlisle are far from up yet either. We have quite a few tricky fixtures before now and the end of the season as well. Gotta believe though. :D

We've been let down far, far too many times before though. I'm keeping calm until I've personally seen those Premier League patches adorning Deano's chunky arms. :p

Tell me about it mate, Carlisle United have the worlds worst habit of either doing it the hard way, or building us up then letting us down.

I am worried though, if we go up. Because I don't think I can take another year of loosing and relegation fights, which is a large possibility for any team getting promoted. Saying that, Bristol City are doing ok. :)

Who'd have thought it though, Dean Windass in the English Premiership again. Amazing. :p

It's your close proximity to the Scots rubbing off on you!:p

[NOSTALGIA] Remembers shouting verbal abuse at him during his Aberdeen days [/NOSTALGIA]

I just read that Dean Windass (chuckle) has made 700 club appearances at the senior level. That's almost two hundred more than Ryan Giggs. It will be interesting to see how a 38 year-old striker fares in the Prem next season...I hope for Jaffa Cake's sake that they do better than Derby and Watford.

I know few of you are interested in the friendlies, but I'm going to follow the beeb's live text update to see if Scotland can beat Croatia.

Oh, and apparently somebody on the England squad is wearing a pair of boots with a golden "100" on them.

Flew SWFC colors at the Nashville Predators game last night...

Preds beat the Columbus Blue jackets 3-0. Fun, and nachos, were had by all... ;)

Actually, he's 39 in a week or two so if we do go up (there's still a long, long way to go yet, your Lordship, and we're arguably the greatest underachievers in the game ;)) he could potentially celebrate his 40th birthday next year as a Premier League player. Blimey.

That's impressive, especially for a striker...how many other strikers out there are that old? Heck, Robbie Fowler is considered an old fart and he's 7 years younger than "Deano"!
There's Teddy Sheringham who's a couple of years older – he currently holds the record for the oldest outfield player in the Premier League. The Werther's Original chomping striker is currently plying his trade with Colchester in the Championship and has announced that he's hanging up his boots at the end of the season – at which point he'll be 42-and-a-month old. Blimey again.

Its good to see us holding the ball up well and making some chances. Seems like a different style of play to when we were under old boozy steve.

With regard to Deano, his birthday is on the 1st April.

When you watch him play you realise how he is still playing at this age. He does the simple things well. He always makes the first move in a game and imposes himself on the opposition. Also he knows he can't run 100m in 10 seconds so he doesn't try to. His strength is his stamina and physical presence.

When Deano was about 18 he was released from Hull City and went to play for the mighty North Ferriby United for a season or two and really did well as a central midfielder. When a new manager came into Hull he got Deano back and within 5 minutes of his first training session signed him up. Brian Robson (who was Deanos manager at Middlesbrough) said that if he had stayed with Hull when he was 18 he would have played for England.

Ironically it was Brian Horton who release Deano 20 years ago andhe is now the assistant manager to Phil Brown back at Hull.

Football, its a funny old game!

France v. England on Soccernet.com as we speak. Nothing as riveting as watching football on the internet...

Would rather be able to watch at home.

That Soccernet.com site looks quite good (apart from they think the penalty spot is on the 6-yard line!)

1-0 to the Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys (thank you Mr Clarkson!)

Totally justified penalty and well taken by Ribery. I didn't seem him getting a yellow for the shirt off though.

BBC said:
Franck Ribery sends James the wrong way. Ribery takes off his shirt to reveal a tribute to commentator Thierry Gilardi - who died yesterday - and is promptly booked by the ref.

Well done FIFA, it's only a friendly for ****s sake but make sure your refs toe the line.:(

Scotland 1-1 Croatia
