I was watching the Arsenal v Liverpool match earlier, and when Bendtner scored, it looked like no one went to congratulate him. To be fair, Arsensal needed the win to have any hopes of catching Man Utd.

Just watching the interview with Wenger and he claims there was another penalty not given for them. I don't remember hearing about that on the commentary. And there is nothing about it in the match report. Was there anything?

Missed the game, watched the bore that was the semi-final. However, Wenger seems to think if you go near an Arsenal player in the area then it's a penalty. Just looked through the BBC commentary and no mention of any claim in there. Still nice to see his eye sight is improving :D

Well great you've looked at the BBC commentary.. conclusive.

There was a pretty big shout for a penalty which wasn't given - I expected to be able to read about it or see a replay when I got home. For some reason there's nothing available - I wonder if MOTD will show it.

You'd normally expect to read about it, may be the BBC has got it in for Arsenal.

Was pivo6 right about the lack of congratulations to Bendtner?

I don't doubt his Lordship's Pompey supporting credentials for a moment – I happen to have got my hands on a pic of him celebrating Kanu's goal earlier. :)

As you can see, he got well excited.

Hey, how'd you get that?!?!?:D

Pompey's my second team in the Prem, but if anyone have earned the trophy Barnsley has, after the ties they drew to get where they are. Even if Liverpool were in the final against them I'd say the same.

EDIT: I'm curious to see what the teams and formation chosen for the 2nd leg CL tie between Liverpool and Arsenal look like. You'd have to think that game will not be a 1-1 tie, as both teams are real contenders to win the CL. Both Rafa and Arsene will be looking for a knockout blow against their opponent.

Walcott came over I think, but other than that no one really did.

They just showed it on MOTD, sorry, but that's a penalty. Great, another ****ing **** game changing decision against us in 4 days.

And these decisions are not just game changing, but huge crucial end of season moments...!!

If just one of these were given...

Glad to see that MOTD did pay attention to them.

Got to say, the ref screwed up big time on that one. There is no argument to be had, 100% penalty.

And what is going on with Bendtner?

EDIT- Just watched us on MOTD... What the f*** was Johnson thinking. The stupid bloody moron, when in the position we are in we can do without playing more than half the game with 10 men. If we keep playing like we did yesterday we are going down, however if we play like we did against Man City then we'll be more than fine. Still, fingers crossed, the table will stay as it is at the moment and we will stay up by the skin of our teeth, spend £12 million or so on Zerate and maybe if we are really really lucky, get Bendtner from Arsenal...

But anyway, another win for Carlisle yesterday despite the best efforts of S W Mathieson (Cheshire) to make it difficult. He's a wanker every time he comes to Brunton Park. Every time. A thunderbolt from Scott Dobie in the 92nd minute. Legend.

Hard run in now though, Swansea at home on Tuesday night and Leeds away on Saturday. It's make or break time now I think. We also have the slight possibility that dirty scummy horrible Leeds wankers might get their 15 points back, the Leeds scum seem to think it's going to happen, but there'll be uproar and it'll get messy so I don't think it will, but you just never know.

On goes the road to the Championship.

possible promotions from league one to league championship

1 Swansea 82
2 Carlisle 78

3 Doncaster 73
4 Nottm Forest 69
5 Southend 68
6 Leeds 64

looks like swansea(feck-dirty jacks) and carlisle for sure. i'd like to see nottingham forest get through...

Well that seems like dropped points for United.

Derby making it to half time 0-0  Come on Derby time to get your first win away from home this season (and second win overall).

Also come on Barnsley.

I'm right in thinking that the win yesterday means that you're at least assured a play-off place? If so, congratulations. :)

Thank you, and yes. One thing that worries me, is that Swansea can get them selves promoted at Brunton Park on Tuesday night, with a win. Don't know if that'll work in their favor or ours.

If we win, we'll be a point behind them and could very much win the League. I'll gladly take second spot, we we're lucky against Yeovil so not getting toooooo carried away. 5 points ahead of Doncaster and they've played a game more. With Swansea and Leeds our next two I'll be happy with 3 points. 4 would be brilliant.

The Blues are going up *Clap, Clap*

I hope so too. Gutted I couldn't get a ticket to go. We we're only allocated 1710 on the 'advice' of Yorkshire Police due to the trouble in Carlisle earlier in the year and I was in Prague when they went on sale. However, a large part of the home sections will be populated by Carlisle fans which of course is much worse.

I was going to get a home end ticket (Really quite easy, apparently) but I'm not risking 1) getting a kicking 2) more importantly, getting throw out after giving 'orrible Leeds £25.

Yeah, we had problems with our ticket allocation and certain other 'conditions' that West Yorkshire Police wanted to impose on us when dirty, dirty Leeds were in the Championship – stuff like supporters could only go if they travelled on official coaches (even exiled Tigers who lived in the West Riding) and that the police could basically stop and order any coaches they wanted straight back to Hull. Sir Adam got together with a few other like-minded chairman, essentially told Leeds and the West Yorkshire constabulary where to go, and the restrictions were dropped.

Anyway, look on the bright side – at least your hard-earned £25 won't be ending up in this 'gentleman's' pocket.
