Look! It's Sir Alex Ferguson right after getting knocked out of the FA Cup by Portsmouth! :D

So United drop points to keep the race that much more alive...I would never have expected Middlesbrough to put 2 past United. I just added Ferdinand to my fantasy team to replace the injured Vidic and now he's hurt too. :(

Disappointed that Barnsley got knocked out of the FA Cup, but Pompey didn't exactly put West Brom to the sword yesterday so we could very well still see a Championship side lift the trophy.

This is what Highbury will look like:...
Compared to what it did look like:...

Well, I like the way they found the alternative use of Highbury... Looks nice!
I'm sure if it was Russia they would first destroy it then build something new, i.e. a Business block or flats.. ;)
Still can't believe in Zenit's success in the match with Bayer Leverkusen.. Fantastic result!

I really called that one wrongly. And they were good goals as well. Really dominated the game you are basically guaranteed to go through, even if you put out your under 18s you will still go through.

Yeah, there is no doubts we will go through.. I don't know what must happen to see Bayer in 1/2... Zenit will face with Bayern Munich or Getafe.. None of them is obviously better than another..
In spite of I am not a Zenit's fan and support Spartak Moscow I still suport Zenit in UEFA Cup.. I'm sure in England for example Man. Utd. fan will never ever support Liverpool even in Champions League final... That's because England football fans are spoiled with Euro Cups tournaments, I suppose.. ;) Or maybe this is an allegiance to the club...

Bad luck for Chelsea...Cech was just coming back from injury but gets clobbered in the face on the training ground and has to get surgery.

It's also looking increasingly likely that Liverpool will lose Peter Crouch at the end of the season. Not to worry: we have an excellent, productive pair of strikers in Voronin and Kuyt.

I think we need another striker besides Torres, and Crouch is better than Kuyt and Voronin.

A good 2nd tier game. Good if you support either team but not much glamour or magic for the poor neutral.
To be honest, I'd rather watch this than another Manchester United/Arsenal/Chelsea snoozeathon.

Hmm, yes... I read earlier that he sustained his injury in an 'undisclosed training ground incident' that Chelsea were 'declning to comment on'. I see now though they're saying it was the result of a tackle...

I reckon someone's smacked him. My money's on Cudicini. :p ;)

So yeah, I'm ******** myself.

Carlisle v Swansea said:
Carlisle striker Scott Dobie hopes his goal against Yeovil after coming on from the bench will be enough to earn him a place in the starting line-up.

Midfielders Paul Thirlwell and Jeff Smith (both ankle) are still missing but hope to play again this season.

Swansea's Marcos Painter returns after five games out with a hamstring injury but Ferrie Bodde (groin) and defender Garry Monk (back) remain sidelined.

Paul Anderson is available and striker Febian Brandy is aiming to start.

Tonights game is massive and I'm a bag of nerves already. I really think we can win it, but it's going to be a cracker and I know Carlisle United... It's never easy.

Up The Blues!

I think Arsenal will score, so I'm hoping for a 2-1 Liverpool victory...

Fingers crossed Chelsea nip the title on the last day of the season. :D

Well, Arsenal scored as I thought they would - pretty quickly too. Liverpool look slightly uncomfortable in a 4-4-2, though Rafa has deployed my preferred strikeforce of Crouchy and Torres. Gerrard and Kuyt look decent on the wings. We've equalized but so much for the away goal advantage.

I think Liverpool will get a winner in the second half, but I suspect Benitez will get cold feet on the 4-4-2 formation and sub out Crouchy for Babel or another midfielder and play a 4-4-1-1.

Chelsea are on dangerous ground.

Crouchy and Torres combine for a goal! 2-1 Liverpool!

It's all happening so fast...

Apparently a clear penalty, but Arsene will be furious about the lack of a call back in leg 1. Bollocks, I was hoping that we would have a clean victory whichever way it went.

Wasn't a clear penalty from here..!
Maybe Dutch commentary is different, even if it was a Dutch player that was "brought down"...
The anger is with the fact that we had 2 clear penalty shouts against this Liverpool, and both turned down. Liverpool gets a softy.. an yep. It's in.

Who cares about the forth.

Good luck to them against bloody Chelsea.:mad:

Have to say, from a neutral point of view, what a game. So now at least 1 English team in the final. Can't wait to hear Wenger's take on the penalty, but feel it was one.

No, no... not this game, but the two games played last week. (first leg CL, and league...)
And it is such an important one aswell. Just made the 2-2 and immediately get a soft penalty against us...

Ah.

Well, I have to say, penalty aside, that I didn't expect such a high scoring game. Arsenal came out and did exactly what they had to do - score an away goal. Liverpool responded well with a pair and looked set to go through until Arsenal equalized. An exciting tie up to that point but then things got a bit crazy. Credit to Babel on the fourth goal but the penalty decided things, which is a shame.

I saw Kuyt haul Hleb down in the first leg and I agree that it was absolutely a penalty. Didn't see the league game though.
