My heart bleeds for them – and now Hull are Championship bound we'll finally get to see who the best team in Yorkshire really are...
We can't turn this into the Coca Cola Championship thread :p, but we'll see, although we'll probably pass you on the way down.
Are Chelsea going to do it today? I'm sure they'll win and then it's down to Arsenal to not win. I'll give my congratulations early - it is inevitable, after all ;)

Hehe, go man Yoo.. Way to get two players sent off.. ;)

At least Fergie admitted Neville (He with the bushy moustache) was in the wrong instead of taking Wengers "I did not see the incident" © approach.

Here's hoping we face the same Newcastle team we played in the semis!

When Van Persie was sent off for two reckless challenges earlier in the season, Wenger gave him a bollacking.

Quietly satisfied today... say no more.
It was fitting for Lampard to be the man of the hour...

Hope we can silence the Kop on Tuesday with an away goal or two.

You are *so* going to eat those words come Tuesday, young lady...! :D ;)

I think it's going to be a night to rival the great European nights at Anfield, to be talked about for years to come.

Congratulations to Chelski on the Championship. 'Bout bloody time too.

Chelsea bought the title. They are just an expensive hobby for the Russian, and somewhere for him to launder his money.

AC Milan will beat whoever wins on Tuesday. I was over in the San Siro when Celtic played there in the CL group stages, and they are one classy side. I think we'll see the best of them in the Final.

In a way I hope Liverpool win on Tues, simply because, again, Chelsea have bought their way to where they are. Milan should beat Liverpool in the Final.

It's actually quite worrying that Liverpool can reach this stage of the Competition (just like Monaco last year), considering their league position. Even we taught them a footballing lesson 2 years ago in the UEFA Cup ! It shows that the CL is def becoming a weaker competition*, especially when 2 EPL sides contest a semi.

* Not that Celtic can boast of matching Chelsea & Liverpool's achievement in recent years.

Chelsea bought the title? What?

Unlike Man Utd. & Arsenal who have also spent a fortune on players over the past few years.

Yeah, that Rooney boy went to Man Utd. just for spare change.

You're not seriously suggesting that if the Russian hadn't put over £220m of his personal fortune into Chelsea that they would still be where they are today ?

In today's world of falling revenues, the Russian has made it an unlevel playing field. The clubs get the same Sky tv revenue. There are clubs who generate extra income through brand name, matchday sales, merchandise etc. Man Utd are the strongest brand, and can pay for the Rooney's of this world out of their income. The Russian owner of Chelsea simply buys players out of his own pocket - it is just an expensive hobby for him.

Didn't Blackburn win the title in the same manner in 1995 ? Look where they are today when the money dried up.

But, make hay while the sun shines. You'll need to win the Big Cup before you can build up a brand name. Been there, done that !

You compare how much Chelsea have spent over the last two years to how much arsenal spent over the last... what.. 20 years, and Chelsea would win it.

Hery was something like 3 mill, Viera 2.5 mill (these are estimates, I know its roughly right..). Chelsea would not have won the title this year without Roman Abramovich. Full stop.

Grr. Chelsea win the premiership. :( Whats the world coming to......

Reyes

"Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido said his club had a agreed a confidentiality pact regarding the transfer fee but British media reported it to be around 20 million pounds ($36.26 million)."

Whatever... if it gives you some consolation to worry about Chelsea's money and to think that they waltzed their way to the title... fine.

Most of us have had to put up with Man Utd. dominating things for ages. Now the boot's on the other foot, it just sounds like whining.

Besides, it takes a bit more than money to put together a championship-winning team. Otherwise Liverpool would have got better returns for all the cash they've thrown at players over the past two years which admittedly, is as not much as Chelsea's, but is more than Arsene Wenger has spent in a similar time.

Face it, it's just envy. To all of you guys, if Roman Abramovich had bought your club and had poured the money in, you'd be laughing and brushing off other people's moaning about money ruining the game...

After all, what am I supposed to do? Have been a Chelsea supporter for quite a few years, it's where I live. Am I supposed to switch to Fulham because a megalomaniac millionaire has bought my club? Wait a minute...

I've got nothing wrong with Chelsea's turn of fortunes. I know a couple people that have been long tim Chelsea fans, and I'm happy for them to finally have won the league. Honestly it isn't fun when the same team wins year in and year out. I'm glad to see Man Utd just struggling to try to get in to 2nd, which I doubt they'll do, but at least it's fun to watch.

You're right, I'm sure the big green monster of envy is rearing its ugly head ! Take Real Madrid (who haven't won anything in 2 years), they try and buy the best player in the world for each position, but it hasn't led to success, so you're correct in saying that throwing cash at the team won't lead to success. It's just that £220m does help .....

chelsea have bought the title, thats a fact - they have gone from nowhere to champions of the premier league in 2 year and 220 million, fact. is it a bad thing? probably a little unfair but they are well within the rights to do so and it doesn't make there title any less worthy

there arrogance is what annoys people, the way they think they are the best team in the world, they have no history of winning anything, they have no european clubs and they have one one title in 50 years, they have a right to nothing, they have poor support (chelsea Vs liverpool semi final of CL for example) moroniho has never sent his team into an atmosphere like anfield on a european night (especially like a semi final) ive been to many european nights at anfield, olympiakos and juventus were special, del peiro said "they shocked us, we have never experienced an atmosphere like that anywhere in the world" but moroniho sees it fit to dismiss it as nothing

that being said, i think chelsea will win 2-4 on tuesday :D

come on the reds YNWA

(as for being envious of abromovich's billions, it crap, liverpool is a club routed in tradition, we won 18 titles and 4 european cups (including back to back titles and back to back european cups) without multi millions, we are a peoples club and a working class one at that, we live by the liverpool way, shankly, paisley and fagan ran the club through the people, shankly retired and went back to standing in the kop, worlds apart from the multimillionaire club like chelsea and the media whore that is kenyon

Murinho faced a hostile atmosphere at Celtic Park when he brought his Porto team here in a CL group stage match a few years back. We won 1-0.

But I think he'll relish the atmosphere on Tuesday. 0-0, goes to penalties, Liverpool to go through. Milan to win.

Nowhere's a bit strong. Blackburn came out of nowhere...

99/00: 5th
00/01: 6th
01/02: 6th
02/03: 4th
03/04: 2nd
04/05: 1st

6th basically, which in terms of big club is no where, not winning much (if anything) to champions, the gap between winners and the top three is massive, about 300 million of good purchaces massive
