Me too. I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to type and stuff, so combine it with footie and I'm as happy as a pig in the proverbial. :)

I'll keep my eyes open for some samples and when I find some, I'll post them here for our admiration/derision.

I didnt know that :) Me too. I was elected a memebr of The International Society of Typographic Designer when I was at college. Load of b******* though so cancelled it after 3 years as it was costing me close to £150 a year, plus all the meetings were in that there London.

Markleshark was enquiring after the enigma that is Michael Bridges a little earlier – here's an update on what he's been up to, namely headbutting a Rotherham reserve teamer. The last player who pulled this stunt never played for the club again (coincidentally we offloaded him to Rotherham), so Bridges' future at Hull looks to be in the balance... :(

Yeah, was reading that. We'll take him back on a free. ;)

On an unrelated point though:

You what? You what? You what? You what? You what?

Ahhhhh hahaha. Funniest. Thing. Ever.

Seemed there was alot happening over there....

Sucks we lost that.... I think there was more lost in the final moments, though.

Hope Terry recovers soon.

The Arsenal youngsters were very unlucky. Denilson and Fabregas played magnificently in the midfield against far more experienced players -apparently Ballack, Shevchenko & Lampard were playing!

( ;) )

It's a shame about the horrible incident with John Terry plus a 'bit of fun and games' at the end of the game.

However, despite losing today, Arsenal's future is very bright.

EDIT: Good news. Just heard Jose Mourinho say on the radio that John Terry is fine and will be going home with Chelsea on the team bus.

Indeed. He's been discharged from hospital and apparently was back at the stadium by 6pm to celebrate with his team mates, which is excellent news – it's never nice to see a situation like that on a football pitch where a semi-conscious player is being stretchered off in a neck brace and oxygen mask.

That aside and from a totally neutral perspective I rather enjoyed the match.

Very proud of my gooners today. We deserved to win, and the fight at the end was pretty funny, really.. :p Happiest I've ever been after a loss. Great atmosphere.

"Where were you when you were ****?"

Tiz true, that left back you'ze had playing was ****in' unreal. Best player on the park by a long way, and he was what 17?

I had quite the predicament, because I hate them both as much as each other. So I just laughed at the fight and went home. :)

Traore?

He played pretty well yeah. Walcott also played well, very nice goal. But for the our MOTM was Diaby, very very good. Pretty moving when he was crying after accidentally kicking Terry too.

EDIT: And a brilliant new quote to go with the game.. :p vv

Thats him. Amazin' Lad.

Sorry, but apart from a great goal Walcott was ****... again... His main strength is his pace, he needs to run at defenders, take them on. But he seems to want to cut inside and slow down play. I have no idea why he does that, doesn't sound like something AW would teach him. As for the crying, you'd be gutted, but laying it on a bit thick? I'd say...

Did anyone else see the strange Tottenham-Bolton game yesterday? Keane scored twice and set up another in the first 23 minutes, then was red-carded for a handball at the goal line. Bolton scored on the penalty and it looked like they might get back into it.

Then, short a man, Berbatov practically was the entire attack the rest of the game. I don't think I've ever seen a striker play so well without actually scoring.

By the way... in the League Cup Final, whenever Fabregas went to take a corner during the first half the Chelsea fans started chucking stuff onto the pitch at him. Now, that's naughty and everything, but I've been informed that what they were actually lobbing at the barely-out-of-school Spaniard were sticks of celery.

Can anyone shed any light on why this is? It's not the first time a player's been targeted by foodstuffs, by any means – for example, past generations of Tigers fans used to throw oranges at our goalkeeper Ian McKechnie because... well... he said he liked them. Has Cesc revealed a similar liking for the stalky delicacy or something?

Apparently its some Chelsea tradition? No idea... They were defending it on Five Live, which I find despicable.. nothing should be thrown at players, whatever it is.

And aloofman, I saw the highlights of that game on MOTD. Quite interesting, a lot of chances to score for both teams really. Berbatov had a few very nice touches, and apparently played well throughout the game. Don't like him though - and he's **** away from home. Also, Keane's handball off the line was a deliberate attempt to stop it crossing the line IMO - hit his chest them he moved his hand to hit it away (not that you were saying it wasn't - just was the debate on MOTD last night). Grudgingly.. it was good to see Sp*rs win, we needed Bolton to drop some points.

Now the big focus is the FA Cup game on Wednesday away at Blackburn for us, and the CL second leg a week after that. The Reading Prem. game is pretty big too - ahh.. **** it.. we need to win them all at this stage. At least Liverpool have the Mancs at the weekend, good opportunity for them to slip up.

Have to agree. I said it was bad, and then they conceded. Only what they deserved.

Deserved to lose the game, but, ya know, I accept your point... :D

Oh yeah, and with the crying - the poor guy probably thought he'd done some serious serious injury to him, or there were even fears he had brain damage or was dead - I can understand why he cried.

I thought it was pretty clear that he tried to clear it with his hand. It didn't look premeditated at all, just a heat-of-the-moment, desperation move. Not that it matters. But what a bizarre turnaround, that he seemed on the verge of a hat trick and then suddenly was out of the game.

See, I'm never sure with saying someone deserved to loose, or didn't deserve to win. United were far the weaker team against Fulham, but sure its a sign of a good team when you can get a result when playing the worse of the two teams?

As for Arsenal, it was inexperience. They gave the ball away trying to play it out of defense. Honestly, did you expect that team to beat Chelsea? I didn't, but my they put up a good account of themselves. It would have been a hell of a feat if they had. Plus, we got to see a fight, so its all good.

Heh.

No, I didn't, but its the fact that it wasn't their football that let them down really. It was a sloppy pass, but we play our way out of defence every time, rather than hoofing up to the strikers, so something like that is bound to happen at some point. The differences between Arsenal and Chelsea on Sunday were a world class striker, a world class goalkeeper, and some lucky decisions. Chelsea had all 3, we had none.

Meanwhile, in tonight's FA Cup replay Manchester United are 3-0 up against Reading after only six minutes! Steve Coppell looks well annoyed. :D

Question: how long does it take Man Utd to put three goals past Reading?

Answer: the same length of time as it took me to make a cuppa.

I can't believe that I've missed three goals.

Double post but I dont care. I'm a little worried. Gary Neville aint played since that night in Lille, no biggie you'd think. Well, watch the first 30 seconds of this video, look at SAFs reaction to GN being in the middle of the Lille players, they really do almost square up to each other.

I hope they aint had a fall out, because we all know what happens then...

4 games since a win, 3 losses on the trot, and the 3rd game out of the last 4 we have failed to score in. Our season is over just like that really, unless we get a good CL run together.

Really ****ing angry right now, this is bollocks.
