Mmm, football.

I was at the Arsenal vs. Man City game on Saturday.. we played pretty bad, but the whole Ian Wright coming on thing was good. At the time the screwed up Pires/Henery penalty made me angry too.. :p

OH, but the good news.. I have tickets for Arsenal vs. Chelsea. I will be at Highbury December 18th to watch the game.. :) And also.. chelsea lose points at long last. :)

/they need to lose one soon
//so arsenal will keep their unbeaten record
///miserably trying to do that slash thing at the end of posts katie does

Good to see some high quality refereeing today.  Watching my beloved 'Boro, the only phrase that springs to mind is "Did the ref bring his glasses?". That and a few unmentionable insults.

I'll be going to the Arsenal vs. Portsmouth game (Dec. 28th).. can't wait for it.
It was great to see Ian and Thierry on the pitch.
But it was even better to see Mourinho very very bitter after not winning at Everton :D

Tnx, I will :)

I have been to Highbury every year for the past 6 years orso. My first visit was way back in 1977 when I was just a little 6-year-old

I am sad that this year is Highbury's last.
I expect the new stadium to be fantastic, but I'm going to miss Highbury.

I just cant see how they'll be able to recreate the atmosphere in there.. I'm usually in row 10-1, so really, REALLY close to the pitch.. I hope they can do that in the Emirates Stadium. Also, its gonna be hard to do this pitch like it is now.. just amazingly perfect. :p

Yep, the pitch is perfect but also amazingly small.

I wonder if the pitch is going to be alot larger. I have always wondered what visiting clubs really experience when they play at Highbury. Was is it a real advantage being used to a small pitch you think?

Having regularly watched live football at League Two, League One and Championship level over the past few years, I'd like to tell you that the standard of refereeing increases as you move up the divisions. Unfortunately, it doesn't - they're all as poor as each other.

Yeah, I guess it helped.. but its starting to hinder us now, with our style of play.

It doesn't favour attacking play, as there is less space. OTOH, our players are very skillfull in small areas.
It could go both ways.

We have to give you something to dream and hope for... :p

Another 10 (or is it 11) matches unbeaten and we'll beat the Gunners recent record. :D

yeah yeah yeah.. ;) You still have to go away to Man Yoo, and Arsenal.. And I'll be at the Arsenal one, I would LOVE it if that was the game you were beaten.. :p *dreams*

49

****ing Man Yoo.. That game makes me SO mad. The ref was a complete ****, gave Rooney that penalty when he blatently dived.

Just wanted to bump this while adding a new post, so all that read this thread will see this.. I made a cut from my arsenal highlights of last season dvd of the man yoo game.. SUCH a dive, and crap refereeing. You tell me if it was a foul on ljunberg in the first half, or if Rooney dived.. lol

Anyway.. here

GO ON ARSENAL THE GOONERS! After that 1-1 against TOTENHAM HOTSPURS which we deserved to win, I still think we have a change of winning the premiership and beating CHELSEA!

Yep, we watched the game earlier and it was a real peach. And that's a very impressive looking lip Alan Shearer was sporting...

You would have thought a £15 million pound striker could afford a decent doctor...

Now watching that tasty thrashing for Man Utd now... great stuff :p

Was in a busy little pub right here early evening yesterday while the game was on Sky Sports Extra or whatever it's called... never seen so many happy people.

Me and my mate had a couple of doubles before toddling off to Waitrose. :D

Neutrals rejoiced, so did everyone else. ;)

Me too. :D Can't help thinking we should've gotten him.

I know. He's the sort of player Arsenal should be going for. Experience and world class. Him and Thierry up front would be something else. Ah well... We'll have to rely on another 'superstar' 17 year old (Vela) or our existing prep school midfield to win us the premiership next season.

I do feel Chelsea are nearing a loss though. Hopefully in the next ten games. ;) Seems Jose and co can't fill the Bridge these days despite their winning ways. Tickets were still available at the ground right up till matchday. Same with Carling Cup and Bolton the week before.
