Using late 2010 MacBook Pro 15"

Upgraded to Lion, wish I hadn't.

Office 2004 for Mac doesn't work. An absolute pain as I'm writing a PhD!!

Got on the phone to Apple, informed that third-party Power PC software no longer works. So that will apply to much software.

I am going to downgrade to Snow Leopard. Requires a total wipe of my system and a total reinstall.

I'd rather lose Lion £20.99 to Apple than shell out for Office 2011.

Might be a silver lining, as Apple appear to be offering refunds for schmucks like me that didn't read the really really small print.

There is nothing on the main pages of their 'Lion' push to indicate that people will be left holding useless software

Sorry, but you shouldn't expect a 7 year old program to work. Since Lion was announced it was made pretty clear that Rosetta was being dropped and that legacy programs would likely not work. Office 2004 is a legacy program. Office 2011 is much better and I'd say after 7 years, you should probably upgrade.

Jumping Mouse

Magic Mouse constantly jumps to corners of the screen which is particularly irritating because I use hot corners for turning the monitor off, screen saver, and launch pad.

I've lost all net connectivity except for MSN Messenger and the main feed on Tweetdeck. No other apps connect to the net including Mac App Store and iTunes

Not a big issue, but a annoyance in safari

when I have been reading a thread and I swipe back to the thread list, it dosnt show the one i just read as read

Annoyance I know, but if you refresh the screen it will be updated. This should be done automatically when you go back. :(

Terminal.app has broken locale settings. If you ssh into some other box, non-ascii will get screwy. To fix, uncheck the "set locale environment variables on startup" checkbox in Prefs > Settings > Advanced.

so far the only app that seems to not be working is vox. it would play a song for a certain time and hang. everything seems to be working alright. when i use launchpad, i have that folder issue repeat. i have sc2 installed and its kinda funny how i see the sc2 outside and they made a folder. inside that folder is 6 sc2 icons repeated. i loled so hard at that.

I made a new calendar event today in Lion and for the first time MobileMe didn't push it to my iPhone and iPad.

Annoying.

for me, if you have 2 maximized (not full screened) apps on one space and you press mission control, they overlap each other instead of minimizing into those little boxes.

Humm and is anyone having issues with Screenflow? And some more basic stuff like Office 2011, Skype, VMWare Fusion...?

I don't use Office 2011 so can't say but for Skype and VMWare, they work fine for me so far.

Skype Version 5.2.0.1523

VMWare Fusion Version 3.1.3, using Windows 7 with it.

I have the thunderbolt port on my macbook pro 13" 2011. When I plug it into my plasma to stream...there is no sound on my plasma anymore. I checked the sound output and it doesn't show my TV anymore. Help...

My trackpad and keyboard are unresponsive for 1-2 seconds after waking from sleep. Nobody else has this issue??

I see I'm not the only one having sleep-related issues. on Snow Leopard, I could get my iMac up and running seconds after flicking my mice (I use a trackball and the Magic Trackpad) or typing a keyboard.

On Lion, those seconds are now more like ten seconds.

Anyone get this one?

I am obviously using HD as the hard drive to startup my computer.

Any suggestions?

FaceTime...

I also can't log in FaceTime after upgrading.
please let me know how to solve this problem if anybody know.:(

I only managed to get lion to work like it should after a proper boot from a lion install dvd I made, would probably work from USB too. AND after multiple restarts/reboots and options P+Rs... something was funky. The fans were not turning off.

Also where is the user/library folder? Thanks

The fact that pinch-to-zoom has disappeared in Finder is an absolute disgrace. It was perfect functionality and now it's pointlessly gone.

After upgrading to the new iTunes, my artwork widgets in Dashboard no longer display embedded artwork. The artwork shows up fine in iTunes, and I can control iTunes with the widget, but artwork does not show up in the widget. Very strange.

- Gestures to switch between fullscreen apps don't work on Magic Trackpad

- Magic Trackpad cannot wake the system from screen saver

- Spotlight search panel has a glitch at the top left where a rectangle appears and disappears

- Xcode 4.1 for Lion installer sometimes doesn't do anything unless you wipe your Developer directory first

- WIBU Codemeter driver broken

- Lion seems to associate Apple IDs with user accounts; if upgraded from Snow Leopard, the Apple ID associated with a user account is set to "apple id" and no hint is given it needs to be changed (System Preferences > Users and Group) - this may explain the MobileMe problems

- Most "unofficial" Time Capsules broken

Everything seems to work for me except Nullriver MediaLink. The media server itself works fine — my PS3 streams from my MacBook as it did under SL. However, I can't open the MediaLink pref pane.

Does anyone know if Final Cut Studio 3 works under Lion? I haven't had to try it yet, but definitely can't afford to have issues with it later.

Safari has froze on me twice now. Force quit does not work, everything becomes unresponsive forcing me to turn off the computer with the power button.

Can I uninstall Lion?

I am having issues as well. Can I uninstall LION and revert back to Snow Leopard?
