It won't bend. It may peek out of the top of the pocket though those do have deep pockets so maybe not.

Yeah the levis have pretty deep pockets so that cardboard cutout of the 6plus fits pretty much perfectly! Good to know though. Don't want anything messing up that big beautiful screen considering I'm dropping $400 on this ********* phone haha.

So I actually printed out the templates and compared sizes.

My 5 with mophie juice pack air is actually taller than the 6. And it's not that much smaller than the 6+. Those of you with otterbox cases should compare the size as well.

I have abnormally large hands and can reach across the 6+ with one handed use. I guess that settles my decision.

Those of you on the fence about the size should try it out. I know most people are NOT in my position. I am glad I printed them out.

i have big hands too, but I'm sorry no way you can reach the top without readjusting your hands. lol

If you folks are not sure which to get, why not wait for the dust to settle, read the reviews and go handle the devices in the stores?

I think pre-ordering is just a bad choice, overall. It is a gamble (though I know folks will just say that they will exchange it if they don't like it)... I guess this is why the refurb business is so robust.
This is why I'm only pre-ordering one instead of two. My brother's sure he wants 5.5" but I'm still unsure whether to get the 6, 6+ or even just stick to my 5s. It's primarily the longer battery life on the 6+ that I want. My plan is to use the 6+ for a month or so. If I end up hating it, I'll give it to my brother. If I do like it, I'll just order another 6+ for my brother. :)

Morphie Juice Pack Air: 2.58 in x 5.55 in x 0.63 in

My Samsung Galaxy S5 is definitely a noticeable difference compared to a Note 3 so I'm going to take a guess and say your size perception is just you trying to convince yourself on getting the 6+ ;)

No. I literally placed it over it and it isn't that much smaller. That doesn't mean it's not noticeable though. The bezel size is the more noticeable than the width. What is significant to me is the 6 vs the 5+juice pack air. I've long been decided on the 5.5. Not trying to convince myself. Just trying to help others who are on the fence.

In fact, the S5 is probably the ideal size. Just a little bigger than the 5 + juice pack air.

Because of the screen.

Why have they already chosen to short change 6 users with a lower PPI screen, no optical stabilization, and worse battery?

Wouldn't surprise me if the 6+ had 2GB of RAM and the 6 had 1GB of RAM.

720 to 1080 on such a small screen is wayyyy overrated

You can't knock what the 6+ has to offer. That's just trying to justify the 6 in your mind over the 6+ for your own sanity.

No it's really not. It's being realistic. I've carried a phone for almost two decades, daily. I can afford either. Phablets are large enough that I'd leave it at home, in the car, etc, at times as it's too big for a phone that gets carried everywhere and why I've never bought a note sized phone. You have to keep in mind that's under the assumption you have it in a case. No case, you might be able to do it. I don't know anyone that's active that kept their Notes. Even the 6 is going up in size. And the 6+ is even taller than the behemoth the Note 3.

The thing to compare in sizing isn't just the 6/6+, compare the + to your 5 or 4, The dimensions.

But hey I'm just a realist. I want people to get whatever is going to make them happy. Just trying to save some from the carry shock. If you are someone who uses Otter cases, oh my!

!

This is important to do. Doing this solidified my decision to get the 6+. But it can be a good tool to teach many to value the portability of the 6 as well.

From the bottom obviously not. I can barely even do that now with the juice pack air.

I just got my Spigen iPhone 6+ case today. Here it is next to my iPhone 5s (with a cheap Amazon basics case) for size comparison:

This is the mockup I printed out and glued onto some cardboard:

The mockup fit perfectly inside the Spigen case:

I also tried sliding the case into my front jeans pocket. I fit just fine, and did not stick out. Also felt fine while I was sitting down. It feels different than my old phone while sitting, but it fits, and is not uncomfortable. It does not feel like I'm "bending" it either. It's pretty flat in my front pocket.

I was very concerned at first about "pocketability" of the 6+, but this pretty much settles it for me. I'm getting the 64GB 6+ :D

Hope this helps others.

I'm definitely getting the 6+. I'm upgrading from the old 4, and I'm excited about having a whole new experience.

I think a lot of people are going to get the 6 and then when they actually hold the 6+ they'll realise it's not that bad at all.

Once you're used to living with it, it will pay off.

I wrote this in a few other forums, but want to try and help! I'm coming from a Note 3, male 25, 5'10. I did a quick hand test and my hand is about the same size as the horizontal length of the iPad 2 (bottom of palm to tip of middle finger).

The note 3 has been a great phone, but it is just too big.

Don't think about having it in your pocket to carry. Rather, think about when you put it in your pocket and when you take it out. It is very cumbersome for me to do so when sitting, regardless of pant style.

Think about when you out your phone in a cup holder or in a small back pack pouch. Think about how often you only use one hand to manipulate the phone.

With the note, i always hold with the phone supported by my pinky in one handed use. I will definitely be going back to the 4.7" after having the Note for about a year.

How much bigger is the iPhone 6+ going to be than the current Note 3?

I think the size of the Note 3 is too big for a phone. But I think the GS5 is just the right size.

My mom has a Note 3 she got for free from work, so I used that along with this awesome site that displays devices at their actual size according to your resolution and display's diagonal measurement.

The Note 3 is about 1 cm wider and 3 cm shorter than the iPhone 6 Plus.

I'm pretty sure over the past 24 hours I've switched back and forth between the 6 and 6 plus about 4 times...

Yup me too, still going back between them but I'm pretty sure the 4.7 is all I'd need, more mobile and have an ipad at home so that'll save battery life for the iphone.

People keep posting stuff like this.

The camera, out here in the real world and not a stat on a piece of paper, for 95% of people, isn't going to be any different.
Battery life will not be 25% better.......not pushing light to that 5.5" screen.
Better, maybe, 25% better I'm going to respectfully disagree.
Display? If you fire up the same video content between both you are going to be hard pressed to see the difference between the two on such small screens (compared to a monitor, tv, etc).

The only real difference I see is screen size. The other stuff is some clever marketing and product differentiation to get another $100 out of you.

I completely agree with all of this. Not sure I agree with your conclusion in the rest of your post, but it really does come down to size first and foremost.

Ditto. I finally settled on the 6.

Ha. You still have over 3 hours to change your mind! :p

Awesome thanks! Plus is way too big, 6 is perfect size for me personally, thanks for that link!

Can you not come to terms with the fact that people aren't settling? You are making it seem like anyone who doesn't buy the PLUS model in settling or somehow missing out on something.

Have you ever thought to yourself; maybe some people just don't want a huge phone?

Wow. The plus is so big I had to adjust the ipad screen for it.
That's the best site I've seen for dimensions. Thanks dude.

Yeah, the plus is like a $100 more not a big difference given most of us are buying it straight out. My reason for "settling" is that the 5.5" isn't enough to replace an iPad at home and the "lesser" 4.7 size makes it better for daily mobile use.
