Aaaand the PSN is down on my PS4. Checked the Playstation forums and it sounds like it should be back up soon.
Sony is undoubtedly bracing for the impact of millions of people receiving PS4s for Christmas!![]()
Killzone Shadow Fall is free with PS+ this weekend; grab it while you can!!![]()
Disappointed that I spent £40 on it though...

honestly, it's impressive it works when I literally am across the country. My PS4 is in Washington State and I am in Georgia right now. The lag is noticeable but I still was able to accomplish some stuff in AC IV despite the lag, it wasn't quite unplayable.
Just out of curiosity what are the up/down speeds of your connection both in Georgia and Washington?
And yeah remote streaming is not the panacea but it's cool. I've been able to play Resogun just fine… at home
But it looks beautiful it's a great HD stream whatsoever.
I see. Well sometimes on the other room (aka where the router is NOT) I'd get some lag in Resogun, similar to when you play online with someone where the ping is high, so I assume it's similar for you.Well, the time it worked (I couldn't get it to work later that night but not sure if I forgot and told the PS4 to turn itself off rather than standby) it worked decently. Every now and then it would give me the warning icon for connection is iffy. But the lag was consistent (I would say enough to notice it for sure and probably some people would call it unplayable and i will admit I wouldn't want to play some games with that kind of lag but I could do some stuff with the lag as well (depends on how timing specific it was).
It's definitely not ideal. Just impressive to be able to do it in the first place.
But I've also played it at my friend's house and it seemed decent enough there with very little lag (at least not so noticeable to me).
I read yesterday that Irish gamers spent 8 million euro on new consoles & accessories over Christmas. That sounds a decent figure until you average out the cost to say 500 a piece and divide, leaving you with 16,000 units.
Given this is split between Xbox one and PS4 it shows how little stock of both consoles actually made it to retail shelves after launch and how both have been sold out for weeks.
16,000 units .....
Admittedly small county, but with just over 4 million people and reportedly around 30% of the populace to actively game, that means 1.5 million people and 16,000 consoles.
I wonder what the story was like in other countries ?
Interesting.
Does this include just XBone and PS4, or all other console sales as well?

the question will be how that data has been gathered ... especially since they mention "over christmas" if it's jsut consoles sold as a present on christmas, or is it december sales ?
2 guys from my company who preordered in september didn't even get their units yet so it could also be a very supply constrained case

What is the best looking game everyone has played? I am just wondering what the best next-gen experience you have has so far?
For me, I have bought Fifa 14, Knack, Killzone and AC4 and Assassins Creed is easily the best looking game I have been playing. The colours, the detail, the weather, the shrubbery, absolutely beautiful game on PS4 (Which is the only place you'll get 1080p other than high end PC).
Have heard battlefield is pretty stunning too. Though I think we will have to wait for Infamous to have our socks knocked off.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it only works when you're on a a PS4, then you can see your PS3 friends etc.

Just picked up Need For Speed: Rivals from Tesco for £48 - Amazon are charging £50+ for it and seem to have intermittent stock. Sounds like a good game although now 3/4 games I have are EA multi-platform games and the only exclusive I have so far is Killzone (great game), looking forward to getting exclusives like Infamous, Driveclub, The Order etc. so this should keep me ticking over for the time being!![]()
Skylanders Swap Force is extremely good looking in 1080p and with all the enhancements they made to next gen version. It looks far better than Knack with living breathing levels unlike Knacks sterile environments. 1080p, 60fps and AA levels on it's just a beautiful game.

AC4 is as you say beautiful too.
Is Swapforce the same game areas as Giants or does the Swapforce game disc have different areas?
