Anyone pick up Saros? Managed to snag an actual day one copy. Not sure if it's mine or my sister's yet. She found what she was looking for... Actually a couple games on her radar.

Everything that was on my own wishlist for physical games was not available. From any of the stores I stopped at. Might need to just go to another area. Or expand my wish list. Have been thinking about trying a jrpg, not sure on where to start.

Also starting to wonder if I should just concede defeat and embrace digital and the dynamic pricing junk. Sure I do it on steam but 10 bucks for a digital copy is much different feeling than upwards of 70 or more.

Might grab my sisters PS5 copy of resident evil and giving that a try...

Anyone here tried the new gacha game Neverness to Everness? Looks to be a genshin + gta type of game. Not vibing with it just yet, only beaten the prologue, haven’t properly explored the open world. The characters are cute but lnly 2 stood out so far - the shaprly dressed lady and the wolf guy with a shadow who fist fights.

And I've seen several reviews say that they thought the first few hours were painful so I should be set up for good times.
Just started the game a couple days ago. I was spending a lot of time initially doing side quests, and really struggling to get things done. Then I read somewhere (I think Reddit) not to focus on side quests at first and complete the main missions up through act three and that will unlock a lot of skills that will make all the side missions much easier. So working on that now.

That was 100% me too. Even traversing the land and getting down from high places was so miserable. Things were so much harder AND I kept encountering situations that made no sense for a solution when it turns out I couldn't solve them until I had finished chapter 1, 2, etc.

I had planned to be a perfect angel while playing but just saw a video about an amazing sword you can get from the jump via theft. So I'm a scumbag thief now and I got it. 😬 Can fill you in if you want.

Yeah... there is a lot the game does not explain. I watched a few YouTube videos with tips that helped.

Found out if you pet a dog enough to get to 100 points (5 points per cuddle), you can adopt him and he will follow you around and loot people you have killed.

Just got to chapter three.

I know this sounds really silly but I was wanting to hear other's opinions on this.

I bought a PS5 Pro primarily due to FOMO, and while it is nice in a few areas graphically (FFV7 Rebirth, RE9, and Stellar Blade being exceptional), it's hard to warrant the premium over my old fat PS5. I have a 120 hz TV so it has all the bells and whistles but I'm torn...does anyone have any experience with a similar issue?

Yep ... I ended up selling my Pro and sticking with a normal PS5.

For my usages, the Pro offered basically nothing.

The dog will fill your inventory, just a FYI.
I just cleared out the Karin Quarry and noticed that happened. Although when I killed the boss at the end, I got a popup notice along the lines of excess loot went to my personal chest, so I'm hoping all the loot that could not be collected because my inventory got full was sent to the chest. Have not had a chance to check yet.

I personally do not like Sony’s business model with the Pro. It means they release a less powerful machine at the start of a gen and then release dev tools exclusive to the more powerful console mid gen. But I think next gen Sony will really struggle to do this, considering the rumoured pricing. You could maybe argue it made sense wth PS4 due to 4K TV’s coming out, and Microsoft did the same thing. But this gen and launching the Pro at 700? Made little sense to me, but people have bought it so it’s worked out for them. Not sure who will buy a Pro console costing over a grand though for prettier graphics?

This is just my mindset in thinking gaming see to offer value lol, these days pricing is maybe too high to suggest that? And considering how much I’ve spent on Apple devices and other things… I probably shouldn’t really complain.

The PS5 Pro got released 4 years after the PS5 and they decide what a "gen" is. If they'd called the PS5 Pro PS6, it would've been ok for you? Because the more powerful console would be a different generation?
And to compare it with Apple, since we're on MacRumors. When the PS5 got released, Apple released the M1. When the PS5 Pro got released, we already had the M4 Pro and Max. My point being: four years of hardware evolution is a lot and not weird you'd want to get that hardware to your customers, even if it is "mid gen" (whatever that factually might mean)
