Hey, thanks for posting my review :) Made my evening :)

Kristin

Love your videos, Kristin.

My question is: would you rather use the Presidio Grip for its obvious grip advantages or the Presidio Clear which shows off the new matte black back, but isn't nearly as grippy?

Thx

Do you care more about gripping your phone or "showing off" your phone?

Well, I haven't gotten the chance to review the Presidio Clear yet--hopefully Speck will be able to send me out one to review soon. Overall, my preference would generally lean toward a grippy case over a clear, slippery one...but we shall see!!

Then get the Luvvitt Soft Slim in clear grip
Do you have that one? I reviewed one of their clear, grippy cases for the iPhone SE and was pleasantly surprised...

Kristin, if you get bored, all of the Best Buy's have all of the new speck cases in stock

Maybe it's just me, but I was hoping Speck would've made a clear Presidio GRIP case. Especially since the ribs are on the SIDE of the case and not directly in the center covering the back and Apple, a clear option would've been great. I got the black case and love it, but wish there was a clear alternative.

That's an excellent point. You should suggest it to Speck!!

I agree. I have both the clear and the black grip and chose the grip as my daily driver bc the grips really are so freaking awesome.

I do not. A friend or two have the model for the 6S, and like you, was pleasantly surprised. It also has quite a few positive reviews on Amazon.

My only quibble is with cases that claim drop protection but aren't drop rated.

I bought this case. While I like it, I wish the camera cutout wasn't so big. I hate it when cases are made early and they have bigger camera cutouts than needed.

Of course...

So, it really can't be much smaller.

Btw, I bought the Speck Black/Black Grip and Clear Presidio cases along w a Spigen Liquid Armor TPU case. IMO, the Grip is the best case that Speck has ever made. It is slimmer and lighter than their old candy shells, the buttons are perfectly tactile and the grip isn't too grippy as to grab onto fabric in your pocket.

That's a notable difference to me.

Very on the fence with this one. Current Candyshell owner so I'm glad they added a matte black option because of the scratches. As stated above though this is a $10/$15 case not $45. Speck may have lost my money on this one.

I'm personally a fan of the case and believe in getting what you pay for. $40 is worth it with the construction of this case, especially if you're going to spend $50 for an apple leather case that doesn't even have drop protection.

The case is well made sturdy and looks Damn good. Only other case that competes that I've seen is the Supcase

I agree that it looks good. And I'm sure the grip is like Velcro if it's anything like the Candyshell Grip I've been using.

It's actually very slightly less grippy than the CandyShell Grip, which I think is overall a good thing. The CandyShell Grip is a great case, but its level of grippiness makes it less pocketable. The Presidio Grip's level of grippiness still gives it plenty of grip, but it is much pocketable.

That Supcase is nice as well. Is it slippery? How are those buttons? I considered it but those flat buttons I'm not sure about. Hard to feel what you're pressing.
