the speck Presidio Grip is wonderful

So I've had this case for 3 days and it's only been in and out of jeans pockets and shorts pockets. I've noticed the rubber grips are already starting to look rough. After only 3 days. I'm a little worried how it's going to look after a month. I'm tempted to return it to speck before it gets worse.

I was at Best Buy and compared my case to a new in box one and I couldn't believe how worn the edges on mine looked after just a few days. I really like the case but if it's going to wear that fast it's not worth it to me. Maybe I got a dud. It's odd because I had a candyshell grip on my Note 5 and I used that for months and the rubber still looked new. The candyshell rubber was harder though.
Here's one edge of my case. You can see how rough it is already. I got this case Friday. I've only used it at work with jeans on, Saturday with lose canvas shorts and today with jeans. I'm 40 so I'm not wearing tight skinny jeans just normal jeans. If it looks like this after 3 days not sure how well it's going to do long term.

not trying to be lazy, but with craziness at home, would love avoid trip to have to measure myself as it's easier to know thickness and mail order. i know i already liked previous Grips, but they were too thick for my taste and am wondering if we are down to 10mm or less...

Isn't the point of a case to take the abuse that otherwise the phone would?? Who cares if the case shows wear because ultimately, won't it show abuse in the long run?
Cases can be protective of the phone without turning ratty looking themselves after a few days. If the case looked started to look a little worn after a few months fine but it looks bad after three days. I owned a speck candyshell grip for my Note 5 and after months of use the rubber on it looks fine. Unfortunately whatever material they switched to for the presidio is just not as tough as their previous models.
Also I paid damn near $40 for this case, I'd expect a little more out of it. If this was a $9 case I wouldn't care, but this is a case that retails for $44.95.

Go exchange it for a new one. I've had mine for over two weeks and it looks absolutely fine.
Buy a new one from BB and then return the old one to them in the new package. They send it back to Speck anyway.
Just call Speck tomorrow or email tonight. They will want a picture emailed but usually send one out like 2 days later
I bought a grey one and had a corner that came un-glued while putting my phone back in. I had ordered in from speck. I emailed them with pics, within 2 days they had a replacement in the mail and it's in transit now.
Solid case and the material and build quality is up to par. I always wonder about the rubber grips staying on. Here's my video review of the case!

I've had my black grip one on my matte black plus and it has been by far, the best case I've tried so far.
Also notice, that the presidio cases are slimmer than the candyshell, the grips aren't as sticky anymore (so they don't catch your pocket fabric) and they changed the direction of the grips to make it more ergonomic for your hand positions.
