Well that someone worked at the Apple store lol. The data on the website also lists pretty specific parts for each model and all neglected to include the band. Take it with what you will

Not saying AppleCare specifically. I am sure if something happens to my band within the 12 months of the standard warranty, Apple will make it right.

That probably also applies to a band bought separately... Not sure what their warranty period is on accessories.

Still think having AppleCare, they will take care of your band outside the 12 months. My past experiences have been such that they are more flexible and open when you have AppleCare.

I was told that Apple Care only covers the watch, not the band.

Apple hardware coverage
AppleCare+ provides repair or replacement coverage, both parts and labor, from Apple‑authorized technicians. Service coverage includes the following:

Your Apple Watch
Battery1
For Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport, included magnetic charging cable and power adapter. For Apple Watch Edition, included magnetic charging cable, power adapter, charging case, and USB cable.
Coverage for up to two incidents of accidental damage from handling of your Apple Watch, each subject to a service fee ($69 for Apple Watch Sport, $79 for Apple Watch, $1000 for Apple Watch Edition) plus applicable tax.

Your Apple Watch does not mean watch casing alone. Watch is casing and band.

Pulled up terms and conditions and nowhere is band listed as not covered.

May be a little off topic, but since we're all here waiting for some type of leather loop....

I have a question about the color of the "bright blue".. Those that saw it in person, is it the same blue as the iPhone 6/6+ leather case?

Looks much lighter, hence the bright... But pictures can be so deceiving.
I would also love to hear opinions for those people who have seen the watch in person. I was planning to order the blue case for my 6+ to hopefully match my BLL. I haven't had a chance to try one in person and different picks give different impressions of the color.

I may be in the minority, but I have to admit I was slightly disappointed by the colour when I saw the "Bright" Blue Leather Loop on my wrist. As someone else mentioned, it is more of a navy colour, more subdued, muted and not bright in the slightest. Perhaps I was a bit fooled by Instagram-filtered photos which made the band look more vibrant than it actually is.

So, if you're looking forward to a more tempered-coloured band rather than one that stands out, you will be pleased.

Well hopefully the wait will be worth it. I didn't want a sport strap would have actually wanted a modern buckle if I could but no 42mm version. I have a basis peak and hate rubber bands all the time.

Is it like the blue of the leather iPhone 6/6+ cases?

Fingers crossed it turns out to be exactly what you were hoping it would be ;).

I might add that the fluoroelastomer bands aren't your typical rubber bands. They're actually quite soft and comfortable.

This gives you an idea. No filters.

That blue looks lighter than some pictures I have seen, but it does look nice.#

I would prefer a darker blue like the actual product.. as it better fits with work clothes..

Still stuck at processing. Ugh.

If mine doesn't ship next week, I'm probably going to cancel it and order the white sport band steel 42mm, or going to go and get one in the store in London. I don't know but I have a feeling the leather loops could maybe have been in the batches with the faulty taptic engines (along with the modern buckle and steel bands?) since the only models that have actually shipped to the majority of people seems to be sport bands, classic buckles and Milanese loops. Ugh

Same here, it's hard to stay positive when you've had no communication whatsoever and not even a sign that your £599 state-of-the-art Apple Watch is on its way, nevertheless I'm trying to anyway!

Apple put a pending charge on my card for the full £599 on 22nd April which kinda gave me false hopes.

Your communication from Apple was your delivery window, which has not even gotten here yet!

I've had nothing in the form of an EOD or something similar. It would at least be nice to have some sort of update or information which others who ordered after me seem to be receiving.

To me, canceling now only delays your watch further. I'm not worried about doing anything (calling Apple, canceling orders) unless Apple happens to miss the promised delivery window. As of this moment, any movement on my watch would be considered lucky as it's not supposed to be here until 5/13 at the earliest. Canceling now would only push my delivery into a possibility of July.

I'll take a precise delivery estimate in the next 3 weeks over a vague 3-month-from-now "July" any day.

Why does Apple need to update you? Your original order clearly listed a delivery window.

Assuming you're in the earlier group, you still have about three weeks to go.

No one that ordered a leather loop has gotten theirs. OMG you people that cannot understand different models, etc.
