Why does Apple need to update you? Your original order clearly listed a delivery window.

Assuming you're in the earlier group, you still have about three weeks to go.

No one that ordered a leather loop has gotten theirs. OMG you people that cannot understand different models, etc.

Because it's an expensive product and I'd quite like to know when I'm going to receive it? There's nothing wrong with that. I don't care about the wait, but I do wish Apple would give me some indication as there's hardly any point in re-ordering a different model now that most 42mm Apple Watches aren't shipping until July.

Right on... 3 weeks to go - if it comes any earlier ...yay.. If not - not surprising. When I clicked the buy button it said 4-6 weeks. As well as in my confirmation email... And when I check my order status. How many more places does apple need to say 4-6 weeks?

Also, those of you who ordered a leather loop and are thinking about canceling... It's a very noble idea. Do it now.

I would also love to hear opinions for those people who have seen the watch in person. I was planning to order the blue case for my 6+ to hopefully match my BLL. I haven't had a chance to try one in person and different picks give different impressions of the color.

I have tried on a variety, although the 42mm is far too big for my wrists I can confirm the the bright blue is slightly lighter than my Air 2 case. It really depends how exact you want the colour to be. If you wanted it to be exactly the same I would recommend the Midnight Blue Modern buckle or remortgage your house and buy the 42mm Classic of the Edition.

When you ordered it, you were told when you would receive it! Not gonna argue with someone that doesn't know how to read dates.

Don't patronise me. Why did you bother picking on me in the first place?

It's not as if I've complained to high heaven or written to Tim Cook etc. etc.

I've waited long enough to get an appointment to try one on in my local store, and as I've said before I don't mind waiting at all, I'd just like a little more information than 'June'.

Is that really too much to ask of a vast multinational corporation?

I can't believe people who ordered leather loops as an accessory are harassing apple reps and coming into this thread to update us on the status of their extra watch band. Jesus Christ.

I've not spoken to any apple reps and had simply been updating my status as I figured there would likely be a close correlation between when strap only orders began shipping and when strap with watch orders did. As my delivery window is earlier than those I've seen for the watch with leather strap orders, I was assuming that once mine starts moving, those with watch orders would soon follow.

Figured people might want to know when any leather loop orders started shipping - whether they are with a watch or not.

You want an update? Go to the Order Status page. Has it changed? No? Then you'll still get it in June. There's your update. When it starts shipping, Apple will surely update you to tell you that you'll soon get it. Until then, just wait. There's hundreds of thousands of orders ahead of you, and you knew exactly when you're expected to receive it when you ordered it. Your contract with Apple gives you one device in exchange for money. Nothing more. Apple has absolutely no obligation to give you any other updates until that original date passes. Apple isn't your friend, it's a multinational corporation.

Thank you! Glad someone else understands things!

You're not being charged till it ships

Calm down

One of the reasons that people in this thread are so frustrated is because other :apple: watch models have been shipped, even though those orders had the same or later shipping windows.

If there weren't so many watches that had shipped early, I don't think we would see so many upset people posting here.

This.

Precisely. There have been people ordering (particularly the Green and Blue AWS models) and having their watches shipped the next day, whilst we potentially face a two month wait for ours. I'm not complaining, just stating the mess of this ordering system and Apple's clear underestimation of demand.

And I don't think you'll find anyone disagreeing with the feeling of frustration. We're all frustrated... it's why we're lurking here.

But, going to the point of demanding more information from Apple or canceling orders, when we haven't even reached the promised shipping timeframe yet - seems a bit premature to several of us.

For me, I won't start thinking of getting actually upset or angry unless May 27 rolls around and mine hasn't shipped yet. Too many other things in my life to worry about rather than getting upset that a huge company is not over-delivering on their promises.

I think because the leather loop and modern buckle bands started with May shipment dates, there must be a problem with the bands. It would be nice to know what the holdup with the leather bands is. Realistically I'm not expecting my watch before June, but hope springs eternal.

But if the shipment window was always Mid-May, that doesn't apply if other watches just so happen to ship earlier; your window is still mid-May.

I ordered a watch on launch day and it's scheduled for a June delivery. If I see other watches (Sport, different band, etc.) that were also listed for a June delivery that are now shipping sooner, that does NOT apply to me because those are different orders.

If June comes and goes and I have not received my watch, THEN I can bitch and moan because the shipment estimate was not met.

This whole thing of "Yeah it said mid-May, but this other guy ordered the Sports model and he's already getting it" doesn't apply to you.

He ordered the Sports, which happened to ship earlier, and you ordered the Leather Loop, which still holds its original shipping date.

Most everyone here has a mid-May deadline, it's May 2nd.

So what?

Clearly it's easier to make the Aluminum watch, and clearly it's easier to make a rubber band. Therefore, it'd make sense that those models would get out faster. If you want a watch the next day, then buy one of those. I'm going to say it again, you were given an explicit time window when you ordered. You knew full well that it would take extra time for your order because Apple told you when you ordered it.

I don't mind the wait, as I've said countless times previously. I'd just like a little more information from Apple, exactly as those who ordered other models have received, with a more specific date, communicated via email, rather than the complete silence us Leather Loop orderers have experienced for the past twenty days, exactly like the rest of us on this thread.

I'm merely stating facts, there is clearly a manufacturing issue which does not affect other models. I'm perfectly happy to sit and wait for the watch that is right for me; I haven't complained to Apple, I'm merely posting on an Internet forum based entirely and founded on unfounded rumours and speculation.

Why do you have to constantly slate every smidgen of text I write?

Good day to you, sir, and please make this thread a more enjoyable place!

We all could say this to him until we're blue in the face. He's just not gonna understand.
