I originally had my heart set on the steel 42mm with brown leather loop. In Germany that model was delayed out of the gate, so I just ordered the same with but with the classic leather buckle. I then ordered the brown leather loop separately. i get my watch tomorrow and the brown leather loop at latest in 2 weeks according to apple.

Either way I can return the unopened brown leather band later or try to swap my classic buckle earlier, or just keep both. To be honest I'd rather just have both the brown and black leather loop.

I'm in the same boat waiting for processing....ordered a 42 SS Black Loop and Sport Band....I should've switched the bands....has anyone been charged? I haven't....

No charge here.

My friend ordered the Milanese Loop and had the same delivery window, his arrives tomorrow.

I'm so happy for him :(

The sad part is I'm on the fence about the Loop color (ordered black but may want a brown option) and the type (I'm considering getting the Milanese loop.) So either way I'm probably going to swap out the band anyways. Should have gone Milanese.

Ah, but the brown leather loop looks so good on my wrist. Still waiting for mine though.

Apple's lack of communication has just been terrible. I'm in the same boat. 42mm SS + black leather loop. 12:03am PT. No movement. Same with my wife's 38mm + modern buckle.

Apple really did not make it clear some models simply wouldn't be available on 4/24.

They actually did...wen they stated delivery was 4/24-5/8. Otherwise delivery dates would've been the standard window. I don't see what's so hard to comprehend?

Well, when they say it's released April 24, and none of them are available until 5/13-5/27, that's a bit sad, isn't it? There was no 4/24-5/8 on some models at ANY point.

I fail to see how you can't think it poor communication. MANY of us stayed up till 3am only to find out there was zero launch stock. I don't mean we-weren't-fast-enoug. I mean ZERO stock of some watch types for a month after launch.

It's pretty obvious now that this was never going to be released in the first round no matter how quickly we ordered, we just had no way of knowing that.

Exactly, and that's where Apple let us all down. I'm certainly not going to lose sleep over it, but I also certainly wouldn't have stayed up till the middle of the night if communication had been more clear.

End of next week is 3 weeks in and the WWDC will be about iOS9 and a new iPhone that probably has Taptic Feedback and Force Touch.

I will cancel my order next Friday and then wait for the second generation.
I'm sure it has the Oh So Improved S2 package and runs Apps just fine.

I know that I sound disappointed. But this was the most stupid launch ever.
My order was around $1k, I know Apple does not care.

But I do, I will gladly buy an improved iPhone 6s that certainly has more room to improve than the fun that a first gen watch will offer.

Next Friday someone can have my slot, I will be on vacation shortly after anyways.

Next week likely won't feature any iPhone info. That comes in September.

Oh come on ... don't split hairs. We'll know from the API's without seeing hardware.

I'm not splitting hairs. You said we'll get all iPhone info from WWDC. No, we won't. And what with Apple tightening up their security, I doubt we'll garner much from APIs, either. Nothing huge.

You made it sound like WWDC will be iPhone announcements. I hardly call reading into APIs the same thing, if it even is possible!

How did they not make it clear? As soon as app came up, delivery date for all leather loop options was 5/13 to 5/27... Other options showed the 4/24 to 5/8. I stuck with what I wanted (leather loop) knowing it's not going to be here as fast as other options I could have preordered.

I don't understand people's anger over this particular option... Apple made it very clear of delivery windows....

My watch 42mm sport white band on board with driver for delivery today! Woooo. Sydney Australia

Still waiting for black SS sport band but happy to wait another two weeks

Dude, do you really not see the difference?

Person 1: Watches will be for sale for delivery on 4/24.

Person 2: Sweet, I'll be ready to buy!

And then hey guess what, NONE of certain styles are available on 4/24, and can be delayed as much as a month.

If Apple had been UP FRONT about what would be available before launch, many of us would have picked different configurations. That's all I'm saying.

Apple never said, "for sale for delivery on 4/24"

The statement was "Available 4/24/2015"

I admit, their statement is vague, just protects them...

Technically and grammatically they are correct. Their statement is very vague, and protects them from people like you accusing them of falsely advertising. If they were to say every single model available to be delivered to you on 4/24/2015, you have a valid complaint.

This person says it even better than I can:
