In an ideal world for me I'm hoping I can pre-order from the Apple site tomorrow morning and they send me the iPhone4 unlocked so I can carry on using my o2 contract which runs out in January. *crosses fingers*

I think it's so poor that UK networks have not yet released plans/costs for the iPhone 4 yet, preordering begins tomorrow. Ridiculous!

They probably in a back room at OFFCOMM (this has been spelt wrong has to not be sued for my sarcasm) all shaking hands with each other in regards to a major hand shakin price fix. Am pretty sure there will be no compatition and all companies will be within 20 quid of each other at ridiculously high prices.

I use loads of data, but I use hardly any calls and texts. This month so far I've used 9 mins and 34 texts. So I can go for the cheapest option regarding calls and texts, I just need unlimited data or a realistic cap. At the moment, assuming leaks are true, Orange is winning for me despite the really expensive handset prices.

Scratch that. I just checked the small print on the Orange website and "Unlimited" means 750MB. So actually, Vodafone is leading for me with 1GB data and cheaper handset.

Well I've committed myself now. I'm currently two months into a twenty-four month contract on O2.

The 3GS is now on eBay complete with all accessories.

Think I'm quite lucky really. People said I was stupid taking out a new contract two months ago, but it's now looking like I'll be one of the last people with an 'unlimited data' contract. Fair use policy excepted, of course.

Ahh may look into other companies offering insurance.
Is it really only £139 for a full phone swap? Never heard of that before. Currently paid 2 years for my 3G of £6 a month as my previous insurance premium cost just carried over to my 3G contract. £144 in total for 24 months.
I'm guessing now i switched to Simplicity (rolling contract) i probably won't be able to carry on with the £6 a month for the iPhone 4, pretty sure they will try charge me the £15.

Never had my phone stolen (touch wood) or broken either though it has survived a few heart stopping moments when i've fallen asleep on toilet and it's dropped out of my hand onto the floor lol.

I got a 32GB 3GS replaced for £139 two weeks ago. I broke the screen.

Has anybody done a write up of all the orange prices ?

There may be some errors there due to the poor quality of the leak.

Willis - How did you get that 30% discount at voda?

That would be awesome!

I got friends&family relations discount at T-mobile but they have to get removed if you want any model Iphone. sucks really as I assumed it was an Apple thing and not T-mobile's doing

ok back on topic, how ‘bout that new fangled iPhone 4 eh?

Apple Store UK iPhone Gift Card redeem section shows iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS ...

http://www.apple.com/uk/iphone/gift/

Also, Glasgow Apple Store website ... Buchanan Street ... look at the bottom left where it says iPhone 4. "Coming to your favourite Apple Retail Store on June 24th. Pre-order from June 15th".

http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/buchananstreet/

If the retail stores are advertising it coming, then it will be PAYG models as usual.

With regards to the post about the lady from Orange saying that they won't send a microsim etc. I wouldn't look too much into what she's saying. I'm now eligible for upgrade and I've rung them a few times this week trying to coax some info out of them and they're operators are saying a whole variety of things. Some say that microsims will be provided when we upgrade some say they know nothing about microsims. To be honest, they don't have a clue.

Also rang the local Orange store this evening and was told that we 'might' be able to reserve a phone for launch day by putting down a deposit of £50-£60 just like people did for the 3gs last year. They said the best thing to do was to phone them back in the morning to get a better idea.

all this talk of data allowance, does anyone know how much they actually use?
i reset my usage 2 days ago and with very normal use ive got 10mb down lol but does it take wifi in to account?
