But can I not continue to use my existing Simplicity agreement in the new phone?

Yes. I just signed up to a 12 month £15 Simplicity plan that includes unlimited data, because I knew if I signed up for it after the iPhone is released I'll only get 500mb of data. They can't change it on me till next year, now.

Whats the deal with reserve and collect at an Apple store if you choose contract as the option?

That has to be new contracts only surely!?

Reservations still ain't a guarantee of getting one, chaps, sadly. I've been trying to order since 9am and haven't got further than the 'Enter your payment details' screen. Now the Apple Store is completely closed again, after a brief period of being back up.

*sigh*

I beg to differ, last year those who reserved got let in the store earlier and had them waiting.

I've got am email that says "Pick-up Date and Time
June 24 starting at 8:00 a.m.
Please note that your reservation will be held until close of business on June 24."

So I'm confident! 😀

Are you sure about reservations not confirming getting one?!

For those waiting for a subsidised handset, I#ve just rung Vodaphone and was told by 'Alex' that preorders will go live on their website and by phone tomorrow morning at 9am and that both black and white will be available.

If only they told us earlier so I didn't have to spend all night staring at my iPad.

roll on tomorrow

I've reserved mine for Chapelfield but my @mac.com is no longer in use on my macbook so I won't receive a confirmation email...is there anything in the email that I need to prove my reservation on the 24th?

I had the same at the Bullring Store.

Got inside the store by 8:05. Left with my iPhone 3G at 16:45. 😱

I'm not getting sucked into the hype this time. I'll order one for delivery and if I've got to wait a week or two, so be it. 🙂

I did same at the Trafford Centre. But I was in and out like an in and outy thing in no time.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but has O2 released the price of the phone with each tariff? Or is it only Vodafone and Orange?

How do I reserve one with vodafone? This whole process feels a bit disorganised!

Nobody has released these details. There were suspect leaks from Voda but nobody really believes them until they go live.

So what exactly is the difference between the SIM free & PAYG phones?

The PAYG phones I assume will be locked to whatever carrier you choose, but the SIM free phones, do you simply walk out the door with a completely unlocked (forever) iPhone, or is it only unlocked until you put a SIM in it, and it then locks to that carrier?
