Just check Apple.com/ukstore for pricing. That's it so far. Nothing else. Bought myself one, though. The SIM only plans are nice.

Surprisingly little actually.

* We do not know any more (for certain) with regard to contracts and carrier prices. None of these have been put online
* Apple has put the iPhone 4 completely carrier unlocked on their website.
* 16GB - £499, 32GB - £599 (black only for pre-order, no white phones yet)
* Some people have pre-ordered, although the website has been up and down like a Yo-yo.
* You can also reserve to collect at an Apple retail store. There are three options:
** Unlocked (SIM Free)
** PAYG
** Contract
* Obviously confussion reigns over the last two options, because we don't know the prices
* The Apple online support assistants are keen to sell the bumper cases.

I think that's the most important bits.

You can pre-order/buy the phones from Apple. 2 per person.

16Gb £499
32Gb £599

When pre-ordering you can choose either:
1) Unlocked SIM Free. Prices above.
2) PAYG - Subsidized? No one knows.
3) Contract - Subsidized? Yes, but no one knows the amount.

I currently have a normal Simplicity monthly tariff(non-iPhone) and am looking buy the iPhone 4. I was thinking of upgrading the Simplicity tariff now to be an iPhone one, so that I get the unlimited data. Do you know if I will automatically get a microSIM for the iPhone 4?

Interesting numbers: the trade price to dealers for the iPhone 3GS 32GB was £490 +VAT (network locked), the 4 is £509 and it's SIM free direct to punters.

I wonder what the trade price for the 4 will be then. This implies a price reduction... Hmmm...

Where's the bit in the ordering process that lets you do this? I didn't get any options apart from having to order to be delivered, unlocked. No store collection option or PAYG/contract option.

I think you only get them options if you reserve to collect in store.

I don't know. I haven't done it myself (waiting for carrier prices). I was going by what other posters have experienced.
 
Just ordered a microsim adapter and template for cutting for 4.50 euro's much cheaper than the extortionate £12-£16 they are charging for an adapter and cutter!

Will let everyone know when it arrives and if it works ok.

Sod all!

iPhone 4 is £499/£599 for 16/32GB respectively. Nothing new from the carriers whatsoever. No white iPhone 4's.

Oh yeah, and "don't forget to buy your bumper" (for £25 a pop!).
 
I'd reserve to collect but that means having to deal with inevitable queues. Possibility of getting the phone a day early this way, too ^^

I've just tried to contact T-Mobile customer services and they won't tell me any information and the poor woman just kept telling me to go to the website. All I wanted to know if they'd send out a Micro-SIM (or dual one) for replacement so I can at least keep my T-Mobile contract.

I guess I'll hold off buying a SIM-Free iPhone until I know the score.

I'm in the same boat as you mate, i need to keep my T-mobile solo 30 rolling contract and will need them to send me a micro sim. Failing that i'll have to cut it down to my size myself.

Actually just ordered some free standard payg sim cards from tmobile just to practice with before the 24th 😀

1000's of morons have posted who don't understand the difference between a "SIM free, unlocked phone" and a "PAYG phone".

followed by other retards who have posted with "why are the US getting it for $299 and we have to pay £599" - errr, that would be because they have to sign a 2 year contract versus a no contract unlocked phone.
 
Just reserved a 16GB iPhone 4 on contract to collect from Liverpool One.

I'm currently on an orange monthly plan, out of contract, not entirely sure how this is going to work but at least I know I'm getting one! (Maybe!)

Just a point of interest regarding the networks, on all the main front pages with the official iphone adverts, the advert actually says coming soon on all of them except on o2 where it says 24th June! Is it possible that only o2 will have it on the 24th June?

That is a very good question. Orange told me that they will have nothing until the 24th so hopefully they will start shipping them out soon after that date.

I think the networks have got no clue what is going on until the 24th so good luck finding anything out!
