i'm new to reserving things at apple sotres: as long as i turn-up at the store before close of business on 24th june will i DEFINITELY the iphone i have reserved i.e. put aside for me? i ask because it mentions 'first come first serve' ?!? i will have to go in the evening to collect.

Reservations are out of 32GB models everywhere now, they must be counting stock on a general basis rather than from store to store.

Ordered my 32gb and received the confirmation email😀

Never felt so happy spending £599 on something I don't really need😕

Any ideas when we will see some hands on reviews? Not the rushed WWDC one.

I think they're saved until the end of the day for you. I'm guessing that the reason they're accepting collections in store is so that they know how many to send to each store in advance, to guarantee availability for those who pre-ordered.

Just reserved a 16GB iPhone 4 on contract to collect from Liverpool One.

I'm currently on an orange monthly plan, out of contract, not entirely sure how this is going to work but at least I know I'm getting one! (Maybe!)

You ordered online via Apple? I thought it was delivery only. Might just do that then and collect from L1. 🙂

No, it's not illegal for Apple to ask O2 and Orange to hold back their pricing announcements.

(I'm a lawyer).

anything deemed as restricting competition (thus keeping prices from being pushed down) is frowned against in regards to competition law. It may not be illegal but it is a borderline competition law infringency.

You can't stop o2 and orange releasing pricing just to preserve the sales through apple.

thanks!

ps - for those using twitter you can set-it up so you can choose to receive tweets as texts from certain people you follow - by going into your settings and then responding to the text they send to your phone to intiate it. it takes several mins. i've set-it up so that i am getting all o2 tweets to my phone from O2 - handy as it will save me constantly visiting their site or twitter stream via my work computer 🙂

So can somebody explain to me, i have reserved to collect from my local store, i am currently out of contract with O2 and was going to upgrade, will all of the relevant paperwork be done in-store with apple staff???
I'd also like to know this. When I got my current 3G from the Carphone Warehouse, they filled out some O2 paperwork for me. Will the Apple store be doing this for all operators?

i spoke to someone at o2 last night who confirmed they would send me a microsim if i needed one for my simplicity deal.

thanks!

When I log into Twitter and attempt to check the settings for mobile I get this:

"Unfortunately you can't receive tweets on this phone. (Your carrier doesn't yet support it.)"

My carrier is the same as yours. O2 (PAYG).

Just cancelled my Bumper.

If the bumpers were sold like the iPod socks that included all the colours, then I would see the reason for the cost, hell would even pay £30 for it.
But £25 for just for one piece of rubber? nah!
