Do we know what retail stores are expecting to have stock on June 24th?

Orange? Vodafone? O2? T-Mobile? Tesco? Three?

Several people here have confirmed O2 stores will have stock. Any idea on the others?

Where has Guru James gone? For once I actually miss him, hopefully he can bring news of PAYG prices. Has any other carrier confirmed PAYG apart from O2 and Orange?

Victoria Square, Belfast.

Should I be concerned, that they may not have stock?

I'm working from home that day and whilst i could nip down around lunch time, I'd rather get in and out before the shoppers arrive :(

I wouldn't know, but it may be worth calling the store and asking them directly.

your best bet is to get there at the opening time at the latest. Even if the queue is 20-30 strong, you'd think they have enough to cover it...

But what do I know!?

Last year there was nobody there at opening time....I just walked in!

The year before I was there about an hour beforehand and there were 20 or so people already waiting so I can't see it being much worse than that!

i heard he was found in the bottom of the Foxconn pool, with a Mac Pro tying him down....

but love the signature btw ;)

I have a reservation for launch day, if I change my mind on whether I want a PAYG version or Sim-free, would they let me do that, or am I stuck with my reservation choice? Anyone know?

I just spoke to my local store as I have done the same thing and they confirmed I can decide which option I want when I arrive.

Seems like you can no longer pre-order to pick up in store whatsoever. http://www.apple.com/uk/iphone/pre-order/

I take it, if you pick the simfree version, you dont need to open it instore? mine will be a gift to someone, and dont want apple to ruin the opening of the box. :p

iphone 4

Hello there,

I'm coming to London on 15th of July, so i wonder if i would find unlocked version of iphone 4 in Apple store, or i have to pre-order it first

btw, I live in Dubai where we gonna get the phone in september I GUESS :(

I'm thinkin of moving I don't fancy moving to 24month and paying £5 extra a month..... wouldn't mind if it was £5 more on 18 month but couldn't tie in to 24 months

£5 more on 24 months is £120; some of these contracts are very poor value unless you really need those allowances.

So where are we with all this? I've probably missed stuff but my summary is:

Apple - Unlocked handset prices announced. Tariffs not applicable.

Orange - Handset prices and tariffs announced for contract and PAYG.

O2 - Tariffs announced for contract and PAYG. No handset prices announced.

Vodafone - Nothing officially announced but a leaked screenshot a few days ago. Probably no PAYG at launch.

T-Mobile - Nothing announced. Probably no PAYG at launch.

Tesco - Nothing announced apart from 24th June availability of something.

3 - Nothing announced. Is 24th availability confirmed?

Virgin - Nothing announced apart from negotiations with Apple.

The above is what I've noticed. If anyone wants to correct or add to it then please do.

- Julian

Thanks for the summary, Julian. I wish we could sticky this. There is a similar sticky post on avforums covering what the announced networks are doing right now: http://www.avforums.com/forums/ipho...ntract-tariffs-pricing-updated-15th-june.html - it backs up what you're saying and doesn't add anything new, however.

Apple and Vodafone

Hey All,

What do you think the likelyhood is that i'll be able to upgrade my vodafone contract instore at Apple next thursday?
