i'm almost certain you will be able to pop into your network providers store on launch day and get a Micro-Sim.
Sim changes take a matter of minutes, the only challenge will be migrating contacts if you are old fashioned and save them on the sim
If you use Google Contacts or MobileMe then you will have no problems

currently on regular dolphin 25 paying £5 extra for 500mb data I barely make calls I do txt a fair bit so was lookin at either O2 or voda (before the new tariffs were announced) still might go with O2 depending on vodafone's pricings and O2 handset pricings too
For those of you who picked up at store for the 3GS, are the queues horrendous?

I think the demand for iP4 will huge compared to the 3gs.

Have just been into my local O2 store. I asked if they were getting stock and if so how many. I was told that they were getting stock, they have no idea how many and that they are expecting a queue.
I asked if they had any prices of the handsets and was told no.
Wish someone at O2 would announce something.

there is no link, i just rung them up at 1pm uk time and i was the first person she dealt with about sending me one....because they just heard the news themselves.

I don't think you can order one from O2 that way. If you've registered interest in buying the iPhone when it's launched, O2 says it might send you one before the 24th so that you're good to go but there's no guarantee.Oh sucks
