I really hope they don't do the over-the-top American "High five as you leave the store" thing, I don't know if i'll be able to control the urge to punch someone if they do

They are for scotland, it's only the highlands that they can't promise delivery for on the 24th.

Because Apples couriers deliver between 7am and 5pm. I leave the house around 7am and get home about 6:20pm. Since the package requires a signature it'd never be delivered and they won't leave it with neighbours.
Precisely the reason Ive not ordered it from delivery. Cant believe delivery for Scotland isnt guaranteed. I understand delivery to the islands cannot be guaranteed, but in this day and age, delivery to Northern Ireland should be guaranteed as well!
I tried that first and the guy on the other end didnt no nothing about micro sims. so call "150" instead and press options "3" and then option "2" those options will be about the ipad but dont worry they will work when you want the micro sim for the iphone 4. and you should get a guy who's english and knows what hes on about
I anticipate having to get a micro sim on the day and so I don't want to have to wait in all day for my phone.
It also wouldn't be the first time that a delivery hasn't appeared here. Apple Store is 15 minutes away from me. Just seems altogether easier.
Just ordered one myself. I also tried earlier cutting a full sized sim but it's difficult when you don't have the actual tray to put it in once cut. All I've got to go buy are measurements of a micro sim posted online.

Well I got that image from someone else on this thread, but the confirmation page in Safari looked a lot like it. In that case... for anyone who has reserved for store collection, in the Apple Order Status section of the online store, is there any mention of the reservation? Cheers!

LOOOOL!!! not many companies can get away with the employees of their stores doing stuff like that... for most stores ppl would just look at the employees like they are freakin morons... but if I was buying instore on launch day... i would totaly get into it, haha... it would be awesome! might even give the best looking employee a quick hug
also... gotta remember that some of them will hate it just as much as some of you... but if they don't do all the cheesy stuff, and if they aren't pleasant as hell (even not on launch days) they'd loose their jobs very quickly... it's al part of how apple operates...
